Springwater Township reopens park days after insect infestation near playground

Days after the Township of Springwater closed a park due to an infestation near the playground, its has reopened.
On Thursday, the Township announced Cherry Park on Idlewood Drive in Midhurst was once again open to the public.
The park was closed on Monday after a report about a possibly stinging insect nest in the ground.
'Upon inspection, staff identified a high volume of wasp or hornet-like insects,' the Township explained.
The yellow caution tape that had surrounded the playground area has since been removed.
