🚨 Ipswich confirm contract extension for George Hirst
Ipswich Town attacker George Hirst has signed a new contract with the club until 2029. Hirst has been a key player for the Tractor Boys in recent seasons under Kieran McKenna, making 83 appearances after joining in 2023. Ireland's Dara O'Shea decides on club future after signing five-year deal
Ireland ace Dara O'Shea has resisted the temptation to explore new Premier League opportunities by signing fresh terms with Ipswich. The versatile defender has extended his existing deal by agreeing a new five-year contract that ties him to the Tractor Boys until the summer of 2030. Wolves, Leeds United and his former club Burnley were all linked with moves for the 26-year-old this summer. But O'Shea - who had four years to run on his contract - is ready to get Ipswich back into the Premier League following their top flight relegation this season Voted the club's Player of the Year, O'Shea said: "I'm really happy and very proud to have signed a new contract at Ipswich Town. 'Whatever happens in football it happens for a reason. You have a journey and you've got to stick to that sometimes.' O'Shea added: 'I feel like I'm well capable of playing in the Premier League and I've got to get myself back there now. 'I spoke to the gaffer at Ipswich and that's the task he's set me - to carry on those standards of a Premier League player and still owe it to myself to be like that. 'It's really hard when you come off the back of relegation but I'm happy with how I played. I've grown into a leader and I play better when I have that responsibility.'

Swansea agree deal to sign Burgess from Ipswich
Swansea City have agreed a deal to sign defender Cameron Burgess from Ipswich 29-year-old Australia international has agreed a three-year contract with Alan Sheehan's centre-back Burgess was out of contract with the Tractor Boys this summer."We are delighted that Cameron will be joining us at Swansea City," said head coach Alan Sheehan."He is an experienced and consistent performer that has seen him rise up through the divisions in the last few years and become a full international.
