Brecon pair deny burglary and stealing Hyundai car
A DUO accused of breaking into a home in Powys, stealing car keys and then taking a vehicle on a joyride will face trial later this year after pleading not guilty. Tracy Price and Tinos Short, both from Brecon, each denied a charge of burglary when they appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court on Friday, June 20. They each also deny a second charge of taking a Hyundai IONIQ vehicle without the consent of the owner. It is alleged Price, 50, and Short, 19, broke into a home on Brecon's North Road on May 22 this year and stole car keys and a wallet from inside. Short, currently on remand, also denied an offence of driving while disqualified and driving without insurance. Judge Jeremy Jenkins told them a trial, with a three-day time estimate, is scheduled to start on November 12 this year.
