Temporary 10mph speed limit to be introduced on Glasgow Road
South Lanarkshire Council has announced the speed restriction for Nerston Village, East Kilbride, due to repairs being carried out by Scottish Water. The new limit will be in effect from July 15 to 19, affecting the section of Glasgow Road between Crookedshields Road and East Nerston Grove. Traffic signs, as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016, will be used to indicate the new speed limit. The council has utilised powers given by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, to enforce the temporary measure. East Kilbride road to shut for Scottish Water repair
Bosworth Road will be shut between Orlando and Falstaff on Thursday, July 17, from 9.30am to 9pm. South Lanarkshire Council has issued a temporary closure order to allow for the repair of the water apparatus.
