Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana Teaser Makes Netizens Troll Adipurush: '100 Times Better'

The first look of Ranbir Kapoor's much-awaited movie, Ramayana, has left everyone super excited for the Nitesh Tiwari directorial. While social media is flooded with netizens praising the 3-minute-long teaser, many also took this as an opportunity to remind Adipurush makers of what a film on the Hindu mythological epic must look like. Released in June 2023, Prabhas' Adipurush was also an adaptation of Ramayana but was brutally trolled for allegedly distorting the epic.
Slamming Om Raut after the release of Ramayana teaser, one of the social media users wrote, '#Ramayana is what Om Raut thought Adipurush will look like." 'What I was expecting with #Adipurush is truly a #Ramayana. Thank you so much @niteshtiwari22 ❤️🔥@malhotra_namit, you cooked it! 🥵," added another.

Another person argued that Ramayana looks '100 times better' than Adipurush.

#Adipurush had some of the best cinematographic shots the bgm and music was top notch but due to the cringe mindset of the director and the bad vfx it overshadowed the good if properly executed could create wonders #Ramayana

Meanwhile, talking about the Ramayana teaser, it starts from the roots – the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva who rule the world. With striking animation, the video then introduces characters from Ramayana – Lord Rama played by Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana.
Ramayana will be released worldwide: Part 1 on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 on Diwali 2027.
