Arnold Schwarzenegger Reveals Which of His Movies Has Surprisingly Made Him the Most Money
Despite leading the ever-popular Terminator franchise, Arnold Schwarzenegger said the films were not the most profitable for him On a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the actor said it was actually the 1988 comedy Twins that made him the most The actor looked back on his lengthy career during his chat with host Andy CohenArnold Schwarzenegger may be best known as the Terminator, but it was a very different movie that unexpectedly gave him his biggest paycheck. On the Monday, June 23, episode of Watch What Happens Live, the actor, 77, revealed that his 1988 movie Twins was the most financially successful for him. "We went all the way to the bank with that one," Schwarzenegger said. In Twins, Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito play genetically engineered twins who are separated at birth and reunited in adulthood. "It was Twins because we had gotten no money, no salary," Schwarzenegger explained, before WWHL host Andy Cohen added, "You got a piece of the backend!' Schwarzenegger continued, "Exactly. And it was was fantastic." Schwarzenegger also revealed that Eddie Murphy was in talks to play another brother in the movie's sequel, but the film never panned out. "The sequel would have been called Triplets, and it was not done because the director, Ivan Reitman, passed away just before we wanted to start shooting the movie," Schwarzenegger explained. The actor recently reunited with DeVito and former U.K Prime Minister Tony Blair in a photo shared to Instagram. "I love bringing old friends together!" the former California governor wrote in his caption. "It was fantastic to see my dear friend Tony Blair and introduce him to my brother, @dannydevito. I can't wait to talk about terminating pollution together in Vienna at the @schwarzeneggerclimate summit!" Though Triplets never got developed, DeVito teased another collaboration with Schwarzenegger in 2024. 'We're working on something, a project that we're going to do together, another movie,' the actor, 80, told CNN. 'Arnold and I are good buddies. We met way before Twins, years ago." DeVito joked, 'We missed Twins 2, because he became governor — which, he should have done Twins 2 instead of becoming governor." Schwarzenegger took a break from acting to serve as the governor of California from 2003 to 2011. On WWHL, Schwarzenegger also revealed which of the six Terminator movies is his least favorite. "I would say the worst is probably the number four, because that was done during the time I was governor and I was not in it," Schwarzenegger said, referencing 2009's Terminator Salvation, starring Christian Bale. He quipped, "How do you do a Terminator movie without me being in the Terminator movie? Doesn't make any sense." Read the original article on People
