Famous rapper is handcuffed and arrested while trying to board a flight in Miami

Rapper Trippie Redd was arrested and dragged out of Miami International Airport as he tried to board a flight to France. The Florida-based performer, born Michael Lamar White, was picked up on an active warrant relating to a 2023 incident, according to a police report seen by NBC News. The 26-year-old was listed in the lineup for Les Ardentes, a festival taking place in Belgium on Saturday. It is understood he had an active Miami-Dade County warrant related to an invalid driver's license case. Customs and Border Protection flagged the warrant as he went to board the flight to Europe on Thursday afternoon, sparking his arrest. Video captured of the arrest shows White being handcuffed as he was surrounded by at least seven officers. He responded without incident, but a crowd had gathered and were shouting at the officers as White was dragged out of the airport. He was allegedly released on a $150 bond. After his release, Redd went back to posting on X as fans desperately await an update on new music. 'Get ready I'm coming different this time on my life all in house work,' he assured them. The rapper's debut album, Life's a Trip, was released in August 2018 and soared to number four on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Trippie Redd addresses Coi Leray feud and slams Kanye West's rage music claim

Trippie Redd took to social media on Monday to clear up rumors surrounding his ex-girlfriend Coi Leray and to respond to Kanye West's recent comments about rage music. The rapper addressed speculation that he had skipped Coi Leray's baby shower, clarifying that he had been blocked by Coi and her family from attending. Trippie stated that all communications regarding the event were redirected to her attorney, adding that he has already distanced himself from the relationship earlier this year. And b4 the actual baby shower happens just letting yall know she doesn't want me or my family there she said hit the lawyer 😂 — Trippie Redd (@trippieredd) April 28, 2025 However, the "Love Scars" artist was more vocal about Kanye West's claims that he invented rage music with his 2013 track "Blood on the Leaves" from the Yeezus album. Trippie disagreed, asserting that the genre's foundation lies with artists like himself, XXXTENTACION, Playboi Carti, and Lil Uzi Vert. He suggested that Kanye's ego may have prevented potential collaborations between them in the past. While tensions with Coi Leray continue and disputes over music innovation unfold, Trippie remains focused on his career and personal life, showing no signs of slowing down
