"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Ken Jennings is set to appear on the latest season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire on ABC. Ken revealed he will be competing alongside Oscar winner Matt Damon. Fans reacted to the news of Ken and Matt teaming up for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. hosts a show that's all about knowledge — but it looks like he's bringing a surprise secret weapon to help him answer some trivia questions. Back in June, fans were excited to learn that the Jeopardy! host would be appearing as a competitor on the new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. While the July 23 premiere is still weeks away, Ken decided he'd creatively shout out who his partner will be on the show. As Ken shared in a post on Instagram on June 27, he will be competing on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire alongside Oscar winner Matt Damon. Given how Matt portrayed janitor and mathematical genius Will Hunting in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting (which won him an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay), Ken referenced Matt's role in the film with a fitting caption. "Can't believe I get to play with one of my generation's great math prodigies," he wrote alongside the image of other competitors on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. "This is in the bag." As fans discovered Ken and Matt would be competing together on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, many couldn't stop raving about the match-up online. "Matt and Ken pairing is wild. [Host] Jimmy [Kimmel] will have it out for you …," one person wrote in the comments. "Can't miss the Damon/Jennings episode, what a pairing," another agreed. "Ken and Matt … a pair for the ages!" a different follower added. Now, let's not forget — this isn't the first time Ken has competed on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. Back in the day (a.k.a. in the early aughts), he actually appeared multiple times on the show in various roles. He first was an expert for the "Ask the Expert" lifeline for four episodes in 2008, and later reprised the gig a year later in August 2009. Years later in 2014, he was a contestant on the show and got $100,000 in earnings over the course of four episodes. He also competed on one episode in 2016 and was eliminated with no winnings after four questions. We can't wait to see how good Ken and Matt's pairing proves to be when their episode premieres later this summer! Today's spangram is: BATTERIESREQUIRED Here's the full list of words: Here's the completed Strands grid: Today's Strands This was an interesting Strands. The spangram—BATTERIESREQUIRED—is all on the left side of the grid instead of intersecting it. I actually found this one first. I found BATTERIES, which I knew was the . . . in the theme and when that didn't work I searched more and found REQUIRED. Of course, my mind turns to the old movie Batteries Not Required, which is a wonderful old film from 1987 that I watched a bunch of times as a kid. From here it was pretty easy. TOYS was in the other corner. CLOCK was just below that and cordoned off CAMERA. I mopped up the last couple words soon enough. How did you do on your Strands today? Rio's record, giant dogs and a psychic crocodile – take the Thursday quiz

Last week in the comments one user suggested they were going to try to work the new Thursday quiz Minecraft movie-related catchphrase – 'Chicken jockey your way out of that one, sunshine' – into a meeting at work, which is to be applauded, and hopefully will inspire more people to do so. But before going out to spread the message, you are faced with 15 questions, mixing up topical news, general knowledge and pop culture trivia in the usual fashion. Enjoy! The Thursday quiz, No 209 If you really do think there has been an egregious error in one of the questions or answers – and can show your working and are absolutely 100% positive you aren't attempting to factcheck a joke – you can complain about it in the comments below. Morgantown area businesses dealing with ‘devastating' impacts of 3-day power outage

Video is coverage of storm damage from Sunday, April 20. MORGANTOWN, (WBOY) — After more than three days without power from storms that came through the region over the weekend, businesses in the Morgantown area are dealing with the loss of several days of business and, in some cases, 'devastating' loss of inventory. Saturday evening, a supercell thunderstorm came through the area, blowing down trees, damaging homes and knocking out power for about half the Mon Power customers in Monongalia County. Even after power was restored to most of the region on Monday, many Morgantown area residents and businesses didn't have their power restored until Tuesday or Wednesday. The entire town of Star City had no power for two full days, and some residents went without power until Wednesday, and some Monongalia County schools did not reopen until Wednesday—four days after the storm. Tree falls through Star City family's roof during storm Now that power is back on, locally-owned businesses are asking customers to support them. Although some businesses were closed for the Easter holiday, others lost three or four days of business. Café Rosé, a restaurant that offers brunch and cocktails in downtown Morgantown, said on social media that without power on Easter, it lost out on one of its biggest revenue days of the year and lost 'thousands of dollars of ingredients.' 'It would mean so much to us if you could stop by for brunch, grab a Frosé to go, have a glass of wine on the deck, come to Trivia Friday, buy a gift card online, call and place a pickup order….anything!' the business said in a post on Wednesday. You can find a list of businesses within the city of Morgantown on Main Street Morgantown's website or support your usual favorites across the county. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc.
