‘Punjab ultra pro max': Viral video shows buffaloes passing through street in Canada, prompts hilarious responses
Spotting a small herd of buffaloes or cows casually moving down the street is hardly a big deal in India. But it is surely something that is bound to grab attention in Canada, that too in a city like Surrey, British Columbia, known for its large South Asian population.
A recent Instagram video posted by Kultaran Singh Padhiana (@ shows a herd of buffaloes passing through a neighbourhood in Surrey. Its caption in Punjabi loosely translates to: 'Canadian province of British Columbia, city Surrey. These buffaloes are said to have come free from a nearby farm and entered a residential area.'
So far, there is no clarity on who owns the buffaloes or where exactly they came from. And despite the assumptions, there is no confirmation that the animals belonged to any Indian.

The clip gained more traction after it was shared by the popular meme page 'Troll Canada.' Adding to the hilarity, the overlay text on the video read, 'Canada vich bhi Gujjar aa gaye lagda (Looks like Gujjars have arrived in Canada too)' – a cheeky nod to Indian pastoral communities. The accompanying caption reads: 'Punjab ultra pro max.'

Naturally, the internet could not hold back and comments soon flooded in. One user wrote, 'It seems like a Gujarat,' while another joked, 'Ab Canada me bhi Scorpio aur Fortuner gadiya ghumegi 'Gurjar' likhi hui. Import krayenge bhaiyee (Now even in Canada, you'll see Scorpio and Fortuner cars roaming around with 'Gurjar' written on them).' A third, more serious, comment read, 'If you treasure your culture, stay in your homeland.' Most netizens, however, responded with laughing emojis and amused takes.
Recently, another viral video showed Rahul Chhillar, an Indian student graduating in Canada, walking to the stage to receive his degree where he proudly chanted, 'Bol Shankar Bhagwan Ki Jai… Jai Shambhu!' into the microphone.
