Donamire Farm's homebred Troubleshooting tracked just off a duo of speedy leaders and uncorked a powerful late rally to win Friday's fifth running of the $149,500 Dade Park Dash, the featured event on the Fourth of July holiday program at Ellis Park.

Trained by Greg Foley and ridden by Edgar Morales, Troubleshooting completed the 5½-furlong turf sprint in 1:01.34.
Star's Image was sent quickly for the lead and was joined shortly after the opening furlong to his outside by Coming In Hot. The duo dashed a quarter mile in :22.12 and a half-mile in a sharp :44.51. Sitting just behind the top duo in third, Troubleshooting angled out at the top of the stretch and surged past the pacesetters to win by 2¼ lengths.
Bridle a Butterfly won a place photo over Chasing Liberty, as both runners closed stoutly to overtake Star's Image in the late stages of the race. Coming in Hot finished 1½ lengths back of Star's Image, followed by Hit That Review (IRE) and Dreaminblue.
Troubleshooting, sent off as the 2-1 favorite in his stakes debut, returned $6.02.

With the victory, Troubleshooting improved his record to 2-2-0 from seven career starts and increased his purse earnings to $219,427.
Troubleshooting is a 3-year-old colt by Not This Time out of the Into Mischief mare Into Trouble. He was bred in Kentucky by his owner.
