Love Island star sparks fix claims as he says ‘it wasn't my decision' over dumping
LOVE Island viewers were left baffled this evening as Remell appeared to suggest it wasn't his decision to dump Poppy. Remell decided to ditch Poppy in favour of Alima after The Sleepover, despite sharing a bed with her and kissing her. Those watching at home were confused by his comment, with one person remarking: 'Remell has just said live on TV 'It wasn't my decision to dump you' so just told us that Love Island is just one big set up!' A second said: 'What did remmell mean by 'it wasn't my decision to dump you' when speaking to poppy????????' While a third added: 'What does Remmel mean it wasn't his decision to dump Poppy? Producers pushing the agenda? Did he let that slip?' And another added: 'Wait.. did remell said it wasn't his decision to dumb poppy.' Others however were quick to clarify what he meant - that he didn't know she would go home if she wasn't picked. Speaking about his time on the show, Remell said: 'Despite me having what seemed to be a good connection with Poppy, my heart was telling me that I had to see it through with Alima. The dynamic with Poppy was more what I'm used to on the outside. But building up slowly with Alima made me realise that that's important. 'I didn't necessarily have to share the bed and kiss outside of the Truth or Dare game, however, being true to myself I'm naturally very flirty. I still acted like how I would on the outside. 'There was never a conversation with Alima about being exclusive, we hadn't had that chat and hadn't spoken properly about boundaries either.' Love Island star defends actions following dumping after cheating accusations
Love Island's Remell, who was voted out as the least favourite boy, has defended his actions and said things might be different if he and Alima 'set boundaries' Love Island's Remell has hit back at cheating claims as he defended his decision to stick with Alima after he spent a few days away at 'The Sleepover'. The latest episode saw the viewers vote for their favourite boy and favourite girl, with the two islanders with the fewest votes getting dumped from the villa. Remell said that he wasn't surprised that he was chosen to leave and admitted to taking a 'risk'. Opening up about his connections, he said: 'Despite me having what seemed to be a good connection with Poppy, my heart was telling me that I had to see it through with Alima. "The dynamic with Poppy was more what I'm used to on the outside. But building up slowly with Alima made me realise that that's important.' Remell continued and said that while he 'didn't necessarily have to share the bed and kiss outside of the Truth or Dare game', he acted how he would have done on the outside and was 'being true' to himself. Defending his actions, he said: 'There was never a conversation with Alima about being exclusive, we hadn't had that chat and hadn't spoken properly about boundaries either.' Alima was not pleased with Remell's actions while he was away and called it off straight away. Reflecting on the experience, he said: 'As soon as I came back from The Sleepover, I was ready to speak from the heart. But when I realised that she was hurt, I learned that it was a lot deeper than I originally thought.' He added: 'If Alima and I had had a conversation about boundaries, it would have made a difference. Communication is important and I'd do my best to change.' Remell said they didn't leave things on the best of terms, but that he would be open to having 'conversations'. He said: 'Things were left a bit sour. The reality is, the woman that was opening my heart and turning me into a lover boy is never going to truly know how I feel about her. "I was ready to tell her everything once I came back to the Villa, but because the conversation didn't end well, we didn't get to properly talk. We're both stubborn so it was hard to see eye to eye. 'I would be open to a conversation, but if she's not open to it then it's fine. It was hard for us to talk in the Villa because I felt a bit disrespected and put my guard up.' Elsewhere in the latest episode, Megan was voted as the least favourite girl and was sent packing despite getting to know Conor.

Four dumped Love Island stars revealed as mass dumping rocks the villa
TWO kisses also took place in the sleepover villa tonight LOVE Island has revealed which four islanders have been dumped from the villa. Tonight's nail biting episode saw Maya Jama enter the sleepover villa, where she had some big news for Helena, Dejon, Emily and Remell. Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 5 Maya returned to the villa with a big twist 5 Helena, Emily, Dejon and Remell had to decide whether to stick or twist In a shock twist, Maya told them that they have to decide if they want to stick in their current couple or recouple with a bombshell. 'Having some time away has allowed you to explore new connections, but are these connections stronger than what you have with your current partner?' she said. The foursome then had to decide whether they head back to the villa alone, or with one of the newcomers, Giorgio, Will, Poppy and Caprice. In the end, only Helena decided to recouple and opted to go back with Giorgio. Advertisement Dejon decided to stick with Meg, despite kissing Caprice during his time at the sleepover villa. Remell hesitated but chose to stick with Alima, even though he told Poppy earlier he felt different with her and they shared a snog. That left Emily, who opted to stay with Conor- unaware of his growing connection with Megan back in the main villa - over new boy Will. As a result of Helena's decision, Shea found himself single and a text back to the original villa broke the news. While Helena was the only one to recouple, she has admitted she is still pining for Harry. Chatting with Emily before having to make her decision, she told her she was attracted to Giorgio but was still thinking about Harry. Earlier in the evening, it had looked like Remell and Dejon might be swayed by the new girls too. Advertisement During a game of Truth or Dare, Dejon dared Remell to kiss an islander of his choice and he plumped for Poppy. Poppy then kissed Dejon after being dared to smooch the person she's most attracted to other than the person she chose. 5 Shea was sent home tonight 5 Poppy, Caprice and Will were also sent packing Advertisement When Dejon was later dared to kiss the Islander he's most attracted to, he locked lips with Caprice and they both rated the smooch 10/10. When quizzed by Dejon who he would chose between Alima and Poppy, Remell paused for a few moments and then opted for Poppy. asks Remell who he would choose between Alima and Poppy if there was a recoupling and he hesitates but says Poppy. And in a subsequent talk with his pal round the firepit, Remell went on to confess: 'I'm loving the chats with Poppy, flirty, chill…I don't want to leave with regrets which is why I'm giving Poppy the time of day.' Dejon responded: 'You've got to look long term… whoever you see a long term future with, that's the one you pursue.' Advertisement On his own love triangle after snogging Caprice, Dejon said: 'What me and Caprice have could be something good, but what me and Meg have is something special.' Later that night, Remell pulled Poppy for a chat. 'I've been comfy around you, it's the first time in the Villa that I've felt like this so it's telling me something," he told her before they snogged again. Dejon dares Remell to kiss an Islander of his choice and he picks Poppy. Then later in the evening, the pair share a cosy moment where he admits he hasn't felt like this before on the show. In a clip shared on social media ahead of the scene airing, Remell says: "I'm being comfy around you still. It's the first time in, you know, the villa, that I have felt like this so it's telling me something." Smiling, Poppy responds: "Good. I like that." Remell then turns his attention to reflecting on how things are going with him in his current coupling. "Alima, it's been good in terms of where we are now, but getting there it's been a bit shaky,he says. "And it's like, maybe I'm even waiting on the fact that, I need to see if from her side, is it like a me thing why you're a slow burner, or is it you?" And he concludes: "Cause if it's a me thing then I'm done I'm not gonna lie." The pair then kiss again, leaving his relationship with Alima hanging by a thread. Of course, Remell and Alima's relationship isn't the only one in trouble tonight. Dejon also shares a kiss with Caprice in the steamy game of Truth or Dare. And back in the main villa, Conor and Megan are growing even closer.
