Police hunt driver in Jalan Tuaran hit-and-run accident
Tuaran police chief Noraidin Ag Maidin said the case is being investigated for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving. PETALING JAYA : Police are hunting for the man responsible for a hit-and-run incident on Jalan Tuaran-Kota Kinabalu in Sabah that killed a pedestrian on Saturday. According to Buletin TV3, a 39-year-old man was pronounced dead while undergoing treatment for injuries to his head and body at the Tuaran Hospital. Tuaran police chief Noraidin Ag Maidin said police are conducting an investigation to track down the driver who fled the scene. He said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving. Noraidin said several individuals have had their statements recorded to assist in the investigation. Woman found dead after violent attack, suspect nabbed
Police arrested a 47-year-old suspect the same day. He is believed to have mental health problems. KOTA KINABALU : A woman was found dead with multiple injuries to her neck, head and eyes, after she was believed to have been assaulted with a sharp weapon at a house in Tamparuli on Friday. Tuaran police chief Noraidin Ag Maidin said a 47-year-old suspect was arrested the same day. 'The suspect is believed to have mental health issues and had previously received treatment.
