This Pretty Damson Madder Top Looks 10x The Price – And It's Selling Fast

In case it isn't obvious yet, this summer's sartorial conversations have largely been dominated by one brand in particular: Damson Madder. Thanks to a crop of playful, retro-leaning designs, the British brand has built a loyal following of whimsically well-dressed women. Its dress selection is particularly noteworthy – the Angelina midi and Goldie mini have already reached cult status. However, if like me, you aren't keen on dresses, the good news is that the brand has an excellent array of blouses and tops that are just as cheerfully crafted and add a flirty touch to your favourite jeans, trousers and even skirts. Case in point, the Tula Wide Strap Smock Cami. Detailed with a frilly trim along the neckline threaded through with a delicate red bow, this seemingly simple top makes for the perfect elevated upgrade to your classic summer camisoles. Crafted from breathable cotton with a relaxed smock fit, it promises comfort during balmy days, especially now that the mercury has reached its peak. 1. Tula Cami This effortlessly comfortable yet undeniably charming cami top is a summer wardrobe staple. The butter-yellow base is beautifully contrasted with red detailing for a unique finish. It's no surprise that this blouse has gained popularity, thanks largely to its on-trend, butter yellow hue. But that's not all. The Tula cami's relaxed silhouette and delicate details add a nightwear-inspired touch, perfectly capturing the growing trend of wearing nightwear out and about in the day. Take style cues from the fashion set by pairing it with the matching Tula Frilly Hem Trousers, or mix and match with other loungewear favourites such as boxer shorts. Naturally, Damson Madder's blouse lineup doesn't end there. Here at Grazia HQ, we've been pining after the Becca blouse (which also comes in both mini and maxi dress form) all summer, while the nautical-inspired Elise blouse was on top of our spring wishlist earlier this year. There's also the Jade cami, which is available in a similar butter-yellow shade and currently on sale. 2. Jade Cami Embroidered detailing on blouses is set to be a key trend this summer, bringing a soft, feminine touch to any outfit. The Jade cami features signature bow detailing and is cinched at the waist for a flattering fit. All of which to say, no matter what your style is or whatever your plans are, there's a cheerful Damson Madder blouse just waiting to be worn. Much like its internet-famous dresses, Damson Madder's blouses rarely stay in stock for long, with many selling out at record speed or requiring a waitlist just so you catch them on their next restock. Our advice? If you want to snap up a pretty summer top that'll become a staple in your wardrobe rotation, act fast. 3. Elise Blouse This sailor-inspired blouse from Damson Madder is a must-have for any wardrobe, pairing effortlessly with baggy jeans and frilly skirts alike. Despite its bold, exaggerated collar, it remains a surprisingly versatile piece. 4. Becca Blouse, Cherry This striking red blouse is great if you want to inject a bold colour into your blouse rotation. The Becca blouse is an extremely versatile option as well, as it comes with removable sleeves, essentially making it two tops in one. Absolute win, in our books. 5. Suri Shirred Blouse For a particularly comfortable yet flattering fit, consider the Suri blouse, featuring shirred detailing and red polka dots for a playful touch. The peplum hem will sit elegantly over satin skirts and trousers for an evening out. 6. Clare Blouse The Clare blouse bears a striking resemblance to Aligne's best-selling longline blazers – structured yet incredibly chic with a waisted silhouette. The difference? You can easily wear this one in the summer, thanks to its lightweight cotton construction. 7. Caroline Blouse Scalloped hem, cherry motifs, pin-tuck bodice, and puff sleeves – we're not quite sure which saccharine detail we love most about this pretty blouse, but we're sure we'll be wearing it on repeat this season. 8. Mansi Blouse A gingham blouse is a great way to tap into the picnic-blanket trend that has been dominating the fashion discourse this season. Especially when it comes with shirred details and a muted colour palette. 9. Leilani Blouse This thick pinstripe blouse makes a strong addition to any wardrobe rotation, finished with delicate frills and a subtly cinched silhouette, thanks to its button-down front. Ukraine drone attacks kill two in Russia and target Moscow, Russian authorities say

Ukraine 's overnight and early Friday morning drone attacks killed two people in Russia and attempted to hit targets in Moscow, Russian authorities said. Russian air defences downed 155 Ukrainian drones between 11pm local time (8pm Irish time) on Thursday and 7am on Friday, including 11 bound for Moscow, Russia's defence ministry said on the Telegram messaging app. Three of the four airports serving the Russian capital, Domodedovo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky, temporarily suspended operations but later resumed, Russia's aviation authority Rosaviatsia said. A drone crashed on to the territory of an agricultural enterprise in the Lipetsk region, sparking a short-lived fire and killing one person and injuring another, regional governor Igor Artamonov said on Telegram. The Russian defence ministry said that its air defence systems destroyed four drones over the Lipetsk region that lies in Russia's southwest. The ministry only reports the number of drones that its units destroy, not how many Ukraine launches. READ MORE Most of the drones overnight were destroyed over Russian regions bordering Ukraine: Kursk, Belgorod and Bryansk, the ministry added. One person was killed and another injured in a Ukrainian attack on the Tula region, about 200km south of Moscow, regional governor Dmitry Milyaev said on Telegram. The mayor of the port city of Taganrog in southwestern Russia, Svetlana Kambulova, said on Telegram that drone debris fell on to the Beriev aircraft manufacturer. Kambulova did not say whether there was any damage as a result of the attack, but added there were no injuries. Reuters could not independently verify the reports. There was no immediate comment from Ukraine. Kyiv says its attacks on Russian territory are aimed at destroying infrastructure key to Moscow's war efforts and are in response to Russia's continued strikes on Ukraine throughout the war. Moscow has escalated its attacks on Ukraine in recent weeks, launching a record number of drones that have targeted Kyiv and cities throughout Ukraine and killed scores of civilians, Ukrainian officials said. Kyiv city authorities said on Friday they will allocate 260 million hryvnias (€5.3 million) for a drone interceptor programme to defend the capital's skies from Russian drones. 'These funds will be used not only to purchase equipment, but also to create an effective response system,' the head of Kyiv city military administration Tymur Tkachenko wrote on the Telegram messaging app. Both Russia and Ukraine sides deny targeting civilians in the war that Russia launched against its smaller neighbour in February 2022. Thousands of civilians have died in the conflict, the vast majority of them Ukrainian. – Reuters

Russian defense giant reveals laser-equipped robot

Russian state-owned defense conglomerate Rostec has unveiled a prototype of a small, remotely operated robot for use disarming unexploded munitions using a powerful laser beam. The system, which has not yet been publicly named, was showcased during an industrial engineering expo in Russia's Tula Region and showcased by Rostec on Tuesday. According to the description, the robot is designed to disable mines equipped with remote detonation fuses, which make physical handling too dangerous. The laser is reportedly powerful enough to melt the casing and liquefy the explosive materials inside. Rostec said the robot is battery-operated and can be controlled from a distance of up to several kilometers. The system's autonomy makes it suitable for use in hazardous environments, including close to the front. The robot is built on a tracked chassis and features an electric motor capable of reaching speeds up to 25 kilometers per hour. It is equipped with two cameras, one of which is infrared, the company said. Development has reportedly progressed to the stage where it is ready for mass production. The United States previously employed a similar method for mine neutralization using the Zeus-HLONS system, which was mounted on a HMMWV and used a laser to heat suspicious objects from up to 200 meters away. The system was specifically designed to blow up roadside bombs without requiring soldiers to exit the vehicle and expose themselves to potential sniper fire. While the Zeus-HLONS is no longer deployed, the underlying technology has been integrated into more recent systems, such as RADBO.

Procter & Gamble's specialty beauty CEO exits

Procter & Gamble has announced the departure of Colin Walsh from the role of CEO of its specialty beauty division, effective August 1. John Brownlee, currently SVP of North America hair care, will absorb Walsh's duties while retaining his existing responsibilities, according to a WWD report. Walsh took on the role as CEO of specialty beauty, whose brands include haircare brand Ouai, skincare brand Tula, and First Aid Beauty, in June 2023, one year after P&G launched the division in 2022. Prior to that, Walsh served as CEO of Ouai for three years, after serving as CEO of DevaCurl and holding senior leadership roles at L'Oréal-owned Matrix and Redken, respectively. Last year, Walsh co-founded gut health brand, YayDay, alongside his Ryan Lietar, Tula founder Dr. Roshini Raj. 'Being part of the creation and early development of specialty beauty has been a tremendous opportunity and will always be deeply meaningful to me,' said Walsh, in a statement obtained by the U.S. trade publication. 'I'm grateful for everything I've learned during my time with P&G and for the opportunities I've had to impact the growth and direction of this business, and especially coaching and empowering the talented and inspiring teams of specialty beauty.' A P&G veteran with over two decades of experience at the consumer goods giant, Brownlee worked in varied leadership positions across oral care, skin care, and professional hair before overseeing the North America hair care business. The executive played a crucial role in the U.S. company's acquisition of Mielle Organics, joining the firm's other haircare brands -- Herbal Essences, Head & Shoulders, Native and Pantene. The leadership reshuffles comes just weeks after the world's largest consumer goods firm revealed plans to cut 7,000 jobs over the next two years. The firm said it also plans to exit some product categories and brands in certain markets, including some potential divestitures, as part of the broader two-year restructuring plan.
