Elmo's X Account Hacked, Calls Trump 'Puppet' Of Netanyahu

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Elmo, a popular children's cartoon character, was hacked on Sunday (Jul 13) to post a number of antisemitic posts, including "all Jews should die" and call out US President Donald Trump for not releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files. In a series of posts, the lovable red monster from Sesame Street called Mr Trump a 'puppet' of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu whilst advocating violence against the jews. "Elmo says ALL JEWS SHOULD DIE. F**K JEWS. DONALD TRUMP IS NETANYAHU'S PUPPET BECAUSE HE IS IN THE EPSTEIN FILES. JEWS CONTROL THE WORLD AND NEED TO BE EXTERMINATED," read one of the posts. "RELEASE THE FILES @realDonaldTrump CHILD F****R," another post stated. Likely a hack. — Brian Krassenstein (@krassenstein) July 13, 2025 The Elmo account, which has over 600,000 followers on X, was restored after the brief hack and all the derogatory posts were deleted. 'Elmo's X account was compromised today by an unknown hacker who posted disgusting messages, including antisemitic and racist posts. We are working to restore full control of the account,' a Sesame Workshop spokesperson told Fox News Digital. Also Read | "Time To Leave": Frustrated By Bengaluru's Traffic, Man Decides To Move To... The Trump administration has come under scrutiny in recent days after it stated that there was no Epstein "client list". During the presidential campaign trail, Mr Trump promised to release the complete Epstein files, including a sensational client list, containing names of high-profile celebrities that may have visited the infamous Epstein island for illegal activities. The fresh interest in the Epstein files comes in the backdrop of X CEO and former ally to Trump, Elon Musk, publicly accusing Mr Trump of being in the files. During a White House press conference, Mr Trump was asked about the Epstein client list but sidestepped the issue. Attorney General Pam Bondi also dismissed the matter. "He committed suicide," she said, while Mr Trump responded to a reporter with, "You still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?"

Elmo's X account gets hacked, offensive posts target jews and accuse Donald Trump of cover-up

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of Elmo was compromised on Sunday resulting in a string of offensive posts, including antisemitic messages and accusations against US President Donald Trump. The posts remained live for approximately one hour before being removed. In one of the six posts, the hacker used Elmo's trademark third-person voice to issue violent threats targeting Jewish people. Another post referred to Donald Trump as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's 'puppet,' citing claims about the Epstein files. One message directly tagged Trump's X account and read: 'RELEASE THE FILES @realDonaldTrump CHILD F---ER,' referencing the alleged client list connected to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Elmo's official Twitter X account was hacked. — ToonHive (@ToonHive) July 14, 2025 The posts surfaced days after Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a memo on stating the Epstein-related documents did not include a verifiable client list and warranted no further investigation. The memo contradicted Trump's earlier statements promising to release the documents. Trump responded in a Cabinet meeting, saying, 'I can't believe you're asking questions about Epstein at a time like this,' referring to unrelated national events. His remarks sparked criticism from allies, including Roseanne Barr and podcaster Andrew Schulz, who accused Trump of avoiding transparency. Following the removal of the offensive content, Elmo's account resumed normal activity. The most recent post, unrelated to the hack, showed Elmo celebrating a 'Gotcha Day' with his pet dog Tango. An investigation into the account breach has not yet been confirmed by the platform.

Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino couldn't turn Elon Musk's business around — because of Elon Musk

X CEO Linda Yaccarino lasted two years at her job before announcing her departure. That's much longer than some observers had speculated she would last. That's because running an ad business for Elon Musk — a man with no interest in the ad business — is an impossible job. Linda Yaccarino took an impossible job. And she failed at it. That's my tweet-length summary of Yaccarino's two-year run at Twitter/X, which she announced via her own Twitter post Wednesday. The longer version of my analysis isn't much longer. In 2023, Elon Musk brought on Linda Yaccarino to fix his ad business, which he himself had broken after buying Twitter in 2022. And as long as Elon Musk owns Twitter, no one can fix his ad business: It's not big enough to be a must-buy for most advertisers, and his ownership generates potential headaches for any advertiser who thinks about investing money there. It's easier to ignore it, which is what most advertisers do. Rather than enumerate all of Musk's erratic approaches to advertising sales — No. 1 on the list, of course, remains his famous "go fuck yourself" pitch back in 2023 — let me sum it up this way: For years, Elon Musk was told that if he just toned down his behavior on his platform, he might have an easier time getting reputation-conscious brands to spend money with him. Instead, he sued them. But earlier this year, faced with the prospect that his behavior was tanking sales at Tesla — the company that's made him the richest man in the world — he at least made gestures to respond, telling anyone who would listen that he was going to spend less time on politics and more time running the automaker. (Whether he'll follow through is another matter.) That is: If Musk really wanted to make Twitter an ad business, he could have tried. Instead, he kept on doing what he was doing and hoped Yaccarino could clean up his mess. "Elon found the requests and requirements to get advertisers back to be tedious," says Lou Paskalis, an ad industry veteran who now works as a consultant via his AJL Advisory business. "But if he wants to understand why advertisers haven't returned, he should look in the mirror." I asked X for comment, but haven't heard back. Whether Yaccarino could have done better is a different question. At times, she seemed to channel her new boss's penchant for fighting with enemies real and imagined — like her bizarre onstage appearance at the Code Conference in 2023. At other times, she seemed committed to using her Rolodex to work with big brands that would still do business with Twitter, like the NFL. You can also debate whether she should have taken the job at all. Remember that Musk essentially announced her hire while she was still at her old job, running ad sales at NBCUniversal, which forced her out right before a crucial sales event. If that's how your new boss treats you before you start your new gig, imagine what it's going to be like when you're actually employed there? In retrospect, it seems clear that Musk himself has grown tired of even pretending that Twitter will make real money from advertising. While Yaccarino described her tenure there as a "historic business turnaround," documents the company sent to investors this year suggest that, at best, the company was generating operating profits similar to what it had earned before Musk's takeover — but that ad revenue was still way down since his purchase. But the people who gave Musk money this year didn't really care about its ad business, either — they were interested in Twitter's relationship with xAI, Musk's OpenAI competitor. That became even clearer in March, when Musk announced that xAI had "bought" Twitter. From an investor's perspective, it's a no-brainer: Who cares about the fortunes of a subscale social media platform, compared to the upside of a Musk-owned AI company during an AI boom? That deal may also explain why Musk had almost nothing to say in response to Yaccarino's departure post, beyond a pro forma "thank you for your contributions" response. He's moved on. Now she has, too. Read the original article on Business Insider Sign in to access your portfolio

French teen ‘who glorified Hitler' knifed 15-year-old girl ‘who he knew well' more than 40 times as she screamed for help during frenzied school stabbing rampage attack

A French teenager who 'glorified Adolf Hitler' killed a 15-year-old girl by stabbing her at least 40 times before severely wounding another female student and two boys, it emerged today. Horrific details of Justin P.'s attacks at a high school in Nantes were revealed on Friday as his principal victim was partially identified as a fellow student called Lorène. She was singled out by Justin P., 16, at the Notre-Dame de Toutes-Aides college in western France on Thursday. An investigating source said: 'At around midday, the attacker entered a classroom looking for his victim, and then isolated her close to a second floor toilet. 'He stabbed the girl, called Lorène, whom he knew well, at least forty times. She screamed for help, before succumbing to her wounds on the spot.' Justin P. then entered a classroom, where he used two knives, including a hunting one, on three other teenagers, two male and one female. 'The first boy he attacked was stabbed around ten times, while another boy was wounded in the shoulder. The assailant then attacked another girl from behind.' By this time, the school's information technology manager had jumped on Justin P., and was still restraining him when police arrived. Officers heard Justin P. shout 'Shoot me in the head' before they arrested him at gunpoint. He was dressed all in black, while wearing a balaclava and cycling helmet with goggles. Shortly before the attacks, Justine P. had sent an email to all 2000 pupils at the establishment calling for an end to the 'ecological destruction' of earth, and complaining about a range of other grievances, including 'social alienation'. It emerged on Friday that he had also been summonded by senior teachers at the school last week after producing 'Swastika-filled' drawings that 'glorified Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich.' At the same time, Justin P. also told fellow pupils: 'I'm fed up, I'm going to take action in a week.' On Friday, Justin P. had been released from police custody, and was in a secure psychiatric unit. A spokesman for Nantes prosecutors said: 'The psychiatrist concluded that his state of health was incompatible with custody.' French prime minister François Bayrou reacted with horror to the attacks, saying: 'This tragedy once again illustrates the endemic violence that exists among a segment of our youth. French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau, French Minister of Education, Higher Education and Research Elisabeth Borne and Mayor of Nantes Johanna Rolland talk to journalists in front of the Notre-Dame-de-Toutes-Aides school 'It leads us to ask ourselves fundamental questions in terms of education, the hierarchy of values, and respect for human life.' President Emmanuel Macron reacted on Twitter X, writing: 'A teenage girl lost her life, and three other high school students were injured, after a knife attack at a high school in Nantes. 'I extend my heartfelt thoughts to the families, the high school students, and the entire educational community, whose shock and grief the nation shares. 'Through their intervention, teachers undoubtedly prevented further tragedies. Their courage commands respect.' Other knife attacks in French schools over the past two years have been linked to Islamist terrorism. In October 2023, a teacher was stabbed to death at a school in Arras, northern France. Dominique Bernard, who taught literature, was mortally wounded in the throat and thorax, while trying to protect his students. Three other members of staff were injured in the attack by Mohammed Mogouchkov, a 20-year-old suspected terrorist who is still awaiting trial for murder. And, in October 2020, teacher Samuel Paty was attacked and killed by Abdoullakh Abouyezidovich Anzorov, an 18-year-old Chechen refugee linked to Al-Qaeda. Anzorov beheaded Mr Paty, before the attacker was himself shot and killed by police. Despite this, there was no immediate indication that Justin P.'s behaviour was linked to terrorism, said a spokesman for Nantes prosecutors. Justin P. was not known to police or the intelligent services before today. He was described by a classmate as 'a timid loner' who commuted in to Nantes every day from the nearby town of Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire
