Nebraska basketball lands commitment from highly ranked center Leo Curtis

Nebraska basketball lands commitment from highly ranked center Leo Curtis Nebraska basketball landed a commitment from four-star class of 2025 center Friðrik Leó Curtis. Curtis visited the Huskers last Sunday and has been a highly targeted center throughout the recruiting process. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he was the 13th overall center in the 2025 class and the top player in his class from the state of Massachusetts. He was originally committed to Arizona State. He joins Quinten Rhymes as the other player in Nebraska's 2025 recruiting class. Curtis recorded 15.4 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in 2023-24 while playing for D1 Iceland. He also played for the Icelandic national team during the U20 European Championship last summer, averaging 5.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game. This addition continues what has been a busy couple of weeks for Nebraska. They have added six transfers from the transfer portal, as they have been able to remake their roster. Fred Hoiberg and his coaching staff have tended to favor the transfer portal during their time at Nebraska. Getting another player in the 2025 class and allowing him to develop is a positive.
