Pyramids FC winger Ibrahim Adel joins UAE side Al-Jazira - Egyptian Football

Egyptian international winger Ibrahim Adel joined UAE Pro League side Al-Jazira from Pyramids FC, the Emirati club announced on Tuesday. Al-Jazira welcomed the 24-year-old winger with a video posted on their official social media accounts, stating, 'From Cairo to Abu Dhabi. We introduce the new pride of Abu Dhabi, Ibrahim Adel.' Although the Emirati club have not revealed the details of the deal, reports claim that Adel signed a five-year deal for a fee of around $5 million. Adel will join compatriot Mohamed Elneny, who also plays the Emirati club since the summer of 2024 following the expiration of his contract with Premier League giants Arsenal. من القاهرة إلى أبو ظبي ✈️ الجزراوية الأعزاء، نقدم لكم نجم #فخر_أبوظبي الجديد 🥁 إبراهيم عادل 🤍🖤#نادي_الجزيرة — نادي الجزيرة (@aljazirafc) July 22, 2025 The classy winger came close to a switch to Europe last year, undergoing a medical with La Liga outfit Getafe before the deal collapsed at the last minute. Nonetheless, Adel enjoyed a stellar season with Pyramids FC, netting 15 goals and providing 12 assists in 35 appearances. Since arriving from Port Said second tier Al-Merrikh in 2020, he has scored 48 goals and registered 23 assists across 169 games for the Egyptian side. During his tenure, Adel played a pivotal role in securing Pyramids' first-ever Egypt Cup and CAF Champions League titles in consecutive seasons. On the international stage, Adel has earned 14 senior caps and scored twice for the Pharaohs, most memorably a spectacular long-range strike against Mauritania that sealed Egypt's place at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. He also featured at the Tokyo and Paris Olympics, scoring three goals in the latter tournament. Al-Jazira finished seventh in the 2023-24 UAE Pro League with 37 points but claimed the UAE League Cup.
