AJ Styles' Potential TNA Slammiversary Opponent Seemingly Revealed

It seems we have a pretty good idea of what AJ Styles will be doing later tonight at TNA Slammiversary. Thursday night, in the closing moments of TNA iMPACT, the company revealed its worst-kept secret this week: WWE Superstar The Phenomenal AJ Styles would be appearing this Sunday at Slammiversary. But what exactly will he be doing on the show? If we look at two separate interviews that have taken place over the past few months, we seemingly have our answer. Earlier this week, Frankie Kazarian sat down with Mike Johnson of PWInsider to discuss this weekend's Slammiversary pay-per-view. During the interview, Kazarian touched on his yet-to-be-revealed role for Sunday's event. 'Nothing has been announced for me,' Kazarian said. 'However—biggest show of the year, celebration of TNA itself, UBS Arena, one of our biggest venues ever—my presence will be felt. I will go ahead and guarantee that right now. Call my shot, however you wanna say it, however you wanna frame it. Frankie Kazarian, the king of TNA, will make his presence felt at Slammiversary.' Later in the interview, Kazarian offered his interesting thoughts on Styles' return on the show. 'When you say [Phenomenal], it holds a lot of weight with TNA fans,' Kazarian said. 'I'll be the first to greet [AJ Styles]—but I will also let him know that this is now the house that Kaz built. He's welcome in it, but when I tell him to leave, he's gotta leave.' AJ Styles teased a match with Frankie Kazarian in TNA months ago If Kazarian's comments aren't enough of a hint, Styles spoke on the partnership between WWE and TNA back in April during a Fanatics panel at WrestleMania 41 weekend. 'I love [the WWE and TNA partnership]. I still have a couple of friends there, and I would love to have the opportunity to go back and wrestle at least one more match in TNA,' AJ Styles said. As for who he would pick as his opponent? 'Frankie Kazarian. 100 percent,' Styles said. Well, there you have it. WrestleZone will have live coverage of TNA Slammiversary later on this evening. File Photo by John Angelillo/UPI | License Photo July 21 (UPI) -- South Korean girl group Blackpink is giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the making of the music video for "Jump," their first single of 2025. An approximately 8-minute video shows K-pop stars Lisa, Rose, Jennie and Jisoo as they run through a city street and dance while suspended in the air, before a green screen. "There are a lot of green screens here. It's a lot of post," says director Dave Meyers in the featurette. "Sometimes the post allows you to keep up with the pace of the song." "Some of these setups were inspired by the fervor of Blackpink coming back together," he added. "You know, it's exciting and the fans are gonna freak out and that's because they've got Blackpink on the mind, because they're back. It's very exciting to have them all together. It's an exciting moment." The "Jump" music video, released earlier this month, shows the pop stars appear on billboards, and the song overtakes the entire city as everyone begins dancing. Blackpink, currently on their Deadline tour through January, released their album Born Pink in 2022. Separately, the singers have released solo projects. WWE Veteran Teases Crossover Title Match With TNA Wrestling Champion

WWE Veteran Teases Crossover Title Match With TNA Wrestling Champion originally appeared on Athlon Sports. One longtime WWE veteran is teasing a potential high-stakes match for TNA Wrestling's "Slammiversary 2025" event. Advertisement TNA's biggest show of the summer is set to emanate from UBS Arena on July 20. Athlon Sports will be on the scene for the event, which will feature a triple threat match for the TNA World Championship involving titleholder Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana. As far as the women's world title match is concerned, WWE might just have a presence in those plans as well. Former two-time world champion Natalya has been stoking the flames of a potential showdown with current TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich. Slamovich responded to a post on X from Natalya, who called out a slew of names who work for WWE and other promotions. Slamovich's name was on that list, and TNA's top female titleholder told Natalya that she will be waiting. Advertisement Natalya fired back at Slamovich, saying she will "beat your ass anytime, any rules, anywhere that will sanction it." Cory Hays of quote tweeted Natalya's response and hinted at a matchup between the two taking place at "Slammiversary." The idea isn't far-fetched, given WWE's strong relationship with TNA Wrestling. Slamovich is currently involved in a storyline with her former tag team partner Killer Kelly, but that feud is expected to culminate on Thursday's episode of "TNA iMPACT!" Slamovich will put her TNA Knockouts World Championship on the line against Kelly in a chain match, which is an homage to their previous gimmick as a tag team.
