AI: Revolutionizing Future of Journalism and Media

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the media industry, accelerating content production, enhancing quality, and deepening audience engagement. This growing dependence on AI is reshaping how news is gathered, created, and distributed. The integration of AI into media platforms has led to the development of advanced data analytics tools, offering deeper insights into audience preferences. Moreover, machine learning techniques play a crucial role in analyzing user interactions on social media, enabling media organizations to tailor content more effectively to audience needs. Saudi Media Forum At the Saudi Media Forum, held in Riyadh from February 19 to 21, industry experts explored AI's impact on journalism and media production. Furthermore, discussions covered AI-driven automation in editorial workflows, from text editing and linguistic proofreading to the use of virtual reality (VR) for immersive storytelling. Participating organizations showcased AI-powered tools for monitoring and analyzing social media interactions, providing real-time data on news dissemination and trending topics. Additionally, a study by Al-Qarar Center for Media Studies revealed that the Saudi Media Forum hashtag on the 'X' platform generated over 3.6 billion impressions, highlighting AI's role in measuring media reach. Finally, the rapid adoption of AI underscores media institutions' commitment to innovation, boosting efficiency and impact.
