Las Vegas isn't exactly a city synonymous with family friendly fun, but a new venture from the Palms Casino Resort is looking to bring some good, clean fun to Sin City. The Palms launched the first-ever 'UNO Social Club' in Vegas this past weekend,, and there are plans for more locations to launch across the U.S. later this year, according to Mattel, which owns UNO. 'We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine what game night can be—bringing people together for real-world fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition,' Ray Adler, Vice President and Global Head of Games at Mattel told Newsweek. 'The UNO Social Club in Las Vegas is just the beginning, and we're excited to see how these new experiences inspire players to show up, play hard, and make unforgettable memories.' 3 A shot from the Uno Social Club. @uno/Instagram The Palms, which is located off the strip in Vegas, turned its Kingpin Suite into a UNO-themed paradise, complete with colorful decor and a private bowling alley. UNO noted on Instagram that the games were not placed on the casino floors directly, despite some rumors. 3 A look at the Uno Social Club. @uno/Instagram 'We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but the casino floor isn't ready for us yet,' the account wrote. 'We've been told that while they do have tight security, it's not robust enough for UNO at this time.' UNO, which was invented by a barber named Merle Robbins in 1971 and was acquired in 1992 by Mattel, the second-largest toymaker in terms of revenue (behind Lego) has grown into one of the most successful brands in gaming over the last 30 years. 3 Uno is going to be bringing in newcomers to the casino in Las Vegas. Getty Images Mattel and the Palms are banking on the game's popularity to be strong enough to get people away from their kitchen tables and into brick-and-mortar UNO-inspired clubs. According to the Palms, more UNO Social Clubs will pop up around the country later in 2025, using bars in major cities as hosts. Internet reacts with memes as UNO arrives at Las Vegas casino tables, but there's a bummer
UNO is heading to Las Vegas, and the internet can't keep calm. Mattel has announced the first-ever UNO Social Club at the famous Palms Casino Resort. For three days, from July 18 to 20, people can join in for real-world UNO games, fun, and competition. One lucky winner will even get a chance to stay in one of the most luxurious suites in Vegas. Mattel's Global Head of Games, Ray Adler, said, 'We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine what game night can be, bringing people together for real-world fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition.' Adler added that this Las Vegas event is just the beginning of more such UNO experiences. Internet reacts with jokes, memes, and hilarious takes It didn't take long for the internet to turn this announcement into meme gold. One person joked, 'I can't wait to lose my life savings in a game of high-stakes UNO.' Another said, 'This is going to end with multiple murders,' hinting at the chaos the +4 card usually causes. IT'S OFFICIAL. UNO IS OFFICIALLY BEING ADDED AS A TABLE GAME IN LAS VEGAS CASINOS. (via @reviewjournal) A few called it 'Gen Z marketing,' while someone else warned, 'That plus four card about to end lives, not friendships now.' Clearly, UNO at a Vegas casino is giving people all the meme content they needed this week. Player 1: I'm about to win $100,000 in UNO in Las VegasPlayer 2: *slaps down a draw 1: In Las Vegas down $10K and counting at the UNO table That plus four card about to end lives not friendships now What's the catch? But here's the catch: UNO won't actually be used for gambling on the casino floors. It's all part of a social event and not an official betting game. So, if you were dreaming of betting your chips on a +4, sorry, that's not happening.

Is Uno actually coming to a Las Vegas casino? Sort of
Uno is coming to a Las Vegas casino, but if you're looking to gamble on the popular card game, you may want to play a reverse. Long a favorite game among friend groups and family members, Uno will be available this weekend at a Las Vegas casino for a first-of-its-kind "elevated social experience," the Palms Casino Resort and Mattel announced in a joint news release in May. But entry to the event at the Palms Casino is limited and money won't be at stake, Mattel confirmed to USA TODAY on July 14, clarifying speculation on social media that casino-goers could gamble on the game. Here's what to know. Uno coming to Vegas casino for short-lived promo Mattel is opening the doors to the "Uno Social Club" at the Palms Casino from Friday July 18 through Sunday, July 20, with plans to debut more across the country later in the year, the company announced. The club features themed rooms, exclusive game variants, and "immersive experiences." Entry submissions for UNO Social Club Las Vegas contest ran through June 19. 'We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine what game night can be − bringing people together for real-world fun, connection, and a bit of friendly competition,' Ray Adler, vice president and global head of games at Mattel, said in the statement. 'The Uno Social Club in Las Vegas is just the beginning." The temporary experience at the Palms Casino Resort gives one winner and a guest the chance to stay, play, and "go wild" in one of the most colorfully decorated suites in the hotel from July 18-20. The suite also includes a game host to shuffle the deck and private bowling alley, according to Mattel. Suite game tables will also be stocked with a plethora of Uno games including "new extensions for even more spirited competition." To enter the contest, fans were asked to post a "creative" TikTok video using Mattel's new UNO Reverse Card filter and the hashtags #UNOSocialClub and #MattelContest. Participants must be age 21 or older and residents of the United States, according to Mattel. Gambling taxes: Gamblers will pay more taxes in 2026 and beyond when Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill' hits Do any other states offer casino Uno games? Yaamava Casino in California announced Uno as a table game in April. "The wait is finally over," the casino post this spring. "As of today, April 1, Yaamava' is proud to offer a brand new table game, Uno! Please use Draw 4's responsibly." "They gotta hire more security," one Instagram user posted alongside a laughing emoji. UNO Social Clubs launch in Las Vegas, bringing iconic card game to casinos nationwide
Mattel is transforming the classic card game UNO into a full-scale entertainment experience with the launch of UNO Social Clubs, starting at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Announced in July 2025, the new luxury suite is part of a national campaign aimed at turning casual game nights into immersive social and gaming events. The Palms' UNO-themed suite features bold card-inspired décor, private game tables, exclusive UNO editions, and in-room dealers. It's designed to create a high-end, interactive setting where guests can play various versions of UNO, including new titles like: UNO Golf™ – a twist where players try to lower their scores by clearing high-value cards strategically. UNO Teams™ – introduces team play, requiring both players to empty their hands to win. UNO Show 'em No Mercy™ – an intense version featuring punishing new rules and stacked penalties. According to Mattel's Ray Adler, VP and Global Head of Games, 'We created UNO Social Clubs to reimagine game night — blending real-world fun, competition, and connection.' This launch marks the beginning of a broader UNO casino expansion. More UNO Social Clubs are set to open in major U.S. cities throughout 2025, with customized UNO-themed drink menus, tournaments, and social experiences planned at bars and entertainment venues. The announcement follows buzz about UNO becoming a Vegas table game, drawing both casual fans and casino regulars eager to bet on their card skills.
