UP highlights its investor-friendly features to woo magnates
1 2 Lucknow: Over 250 industrialists and exporters from diverse sectors attended the roadshow organised by the UP govt in Bengaluru on Friday to promote the upcoming third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025. The roadshow was presided over by the state's MSME minister Rakesh Sachan. "UP is the engine of India's development story. With 96 lakh MSMEs—around 14% of India's total—the state is empowering artisans across all 75 districts through the One District, One Product (ODOP) scheme," Sachan said. Inviting entrepreneurs, Sachan emphasised investor-friendly features like the single-window system, a robust land bank, strong law and order, 12 operational airports, an expanding expressway network and competitive labour costs. Officials said the UPITS set to take place from Sep 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida holds a business potential of Rs 2,000 crore as over 2,400 exhibitors, 1.25 lakh B2B visitors, 4.5 lakh B2C visitors, and 550+ international buyers from 70 countries are expected to attend it. During the roadshow, Karnataka industry leaders expressed strong interest in business opportunities in Uttar Pradesh. LUB-K president HVS Krishna noted that 10,000 of the organisation's 75,000 members hail from UP. KASSIA president BR Ganesh Rao highlighted how UPITS opens new market avenues for MSMEs. FKCCI president MG Balakrishna assured full cooperation with UP while Peenya Industrial Association president Danappa DP expressed enthusiasm, noting that Peenya—Asia's largest MSME cluster—is eager to participate. B'luru roadshow to pitch UP as desired investment hub
Lucknow: To promote UP as the most desired investment destination and invite the business community to the third UP International Trade Show, MSME minister Rakesh Sachan and departmental officials will lead a roadshow in Bengaluru on Friday. Organised in partnership with the Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association, this is the third major event ahead of the UP ITS 2025 scheduled in Greater Noida between Sep 25 and 29. Officials said the Bengaluru edition aims to further build on this momentum by showcasing the state's progressive business vision, robust policy framework and investor-friendly ecosystem. The roadshow is expected to see participation from foreign diplomats, embassy officials, global buyers, industry bodies, investors, tech startups and MSMEs. The spotlight will be on UP's priority sectors—electronics, IT, electric vehicles, textiles, agro-based industries, food processing, and the ODOP initiative—underscoring the state's commitment to the 'Make in India for the World' vision. Earlier, roadshows were held in New Delhi and Hyderabad, and more are planned in Mumbai on July 25 and Ahmedabad on July 30.

Govt invites entrepreneurs to UP Int'l Trade Show-2025 at Hyderabad roadshow
The second roadshow in the series leading up to the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS)-2025 was successfully held on Friday at the Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) Hyderabad. The event witnessed participation of over 150 industrialists, exporters, trade consultants and business organisations. The roadshow aimed to enhance national awareness and participation in UPITS 2025 scheduled for September. The UPITS is more than a trade fair, it is a platform to bring global recognition to our artisans, MSMEs and local entrepreneurs.' Raj Kamal Yadav, additional commissioner (industries), UP government, highlighted that UPITS is India's first state-led international trade show. 'Last year, the event generated business worth Rs500–600 crore, with major companies like Titan placing orders with local artisans. It's opening doors to global markets for small manufacturers,' he said. He also emphasised the potential for synergy between Uttar Pradesh and Telangana, both industrial powerhouses, especially in sectors like IT, textiles, pharma, and handicrafts. FTCCI president Suresh Kumar Singhal lauded the initiative, calling it a model for national collaboration and domestic export promotion. Sudip Sarkar, CEO, India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), shared that UPITS 2025 is expected to generate business worth Rs2,000 crore. The event will feature over 2,400 exhibitors, 1.25 lakh B2B and 4.5 lakh B2C visitors, along with 35,000 B2B meetings and participation from more than 550 international buyers representing over 70 countries. The event showcased key features of UPITS 2025, including dedicated B2B zones, buyer-seller meets, ODOP displays, and the cluster export model. The trade show is being jointly organised by the Uttar Pradesh government and IEML. Upcoming roadshows are scheduled in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

(IEML), organised a roadshow for the 3rd edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 in New Delhi on Friday.
