Irish League goalkeeping hero Bobby Carlisle believes an all-Ireland League would help our game move to another level and he has also voiced concerns around the long-term commitment of investors. The former Cliftonville and Portadown stopper is a passionate supporter of the Irish League and he remains Coordinator for the prestigious Castlereagh Glentoran Supporters' Club Ulster Footballer of the Year Awards.

Being asked to join the judging panel of the Ulster Footballer of the Year Awards by the Castlereagh Glentoran Supporters' Club is one of the great privileges of my career. Tuesday night's event was tremendous – credit must go to event organisers Ken Moody and Bobby Carlisle. It was a pleasure to spend time with legends of the game such as Billy Humphries, Billy McAvoy, Eric Bowyer, Paul Leeman and George Dunlop.
