Every new feature in EA FC 26 Clubs including Archetypes, skill tree removal and FUT-like cards

Some big changes have been made to Clubs in EA FC 26 by EA Sports, including the removal of a long-term feature and some Ultimate Team additions. Significant changes are coming across the board in EA FC 26, but Clubs may be getting some of the most substantial changes of them all. ‌ After weeks of anticipation, we were lucky enough to get our hands on EA FC 26 at the EA Sports HQ in Vancouver, Canada, and as well as playing the game for the first time, I found out all there is to know about the new game, including Clubs. Clubs is one, if not the most, social game mode in EA Sports FC, but it always seems to get left behind when it comes to new features. ‌ When crossplay was added in FIFA 23, Clubs was surprisingly left out, but the tide has turned in recent years, with EA going big on Clubs changes in EA FC 26. From Ultimate Team-like cards to a new way of upgrading your pro, here are all of the changes coming to Clubs in EA FC 26. ‌ EA FC 26 Clubs overhaul – but is it becoming pay-to-win? In my opinion, the biggest change of all is that the skill tree is being removed in EA FC 26, with a new feature called Archetypes replacing it. Archetypes define how your player grows in Clubs, with each Archetype having signature PlayStyles, gameplay perks, unique attributes and weaknesses, along with three specialisations. There are 13 archetypes in total to choose from, with 39 different specialisations available to personalise your progress. For example, if you choose the Finisher Archetype, you'll start with the low driven shot and first touch playstyle, and these can evolve to PlayStyle Plus' as the game goes on. ‌ These are the 13 Archetypes that will be available at launch, both in Clubs and Player Career Mode: Offensive Archetypes Magician Finisher Target ‌ Support Archetypes Recyclier Maestro Creator Spark Defence Archetypes Progressor Boss Engine Marauder Goalkeeper Archetypes Shot Stopper Sweeper Keeper ‌ None of the Archetypes are positionally locked, so you can use all of these for any position, meaning you still get a feeling of freedom when building your pro. Of course, this excludes goalkeepers. Archetypes are also based on greats of the game, so you may notice some similarities between how your pro plays and a real-life footballing icon. As you play games in Clubs, you'll of course level up, and in EA FC 26, this will give you rewards that can boost your Archetypes attributes. There will also be chapters in Clubs that will run alongside the FC Season progress in Ultimate Team. During each chapter, you may reach an attribute threshold where you can no longer upgrade a certain attribute, but this is when, instead of improving your stats, you then start to unlock playstyles Out of the 39 specialisations, you can choose three in total, with these offering big stat boosts to your pro. You can change your specialisation whenever you want. You will also be given an Archetype card in Clubs in EA FC 26, with this visual feature similar to Ultimate Team cards. The card will appear in the menus as well as before and after each game, and as you progress, your card can upgrade from Bronze, Silver, Gold, and even to Icon status. ‌ Your Archetypes card will feature an image of the pro you have created, along with stats, which could include your level and attribute statistics. With these cards being introduced, some of the new rewards include skins to apply to your Archetypes card, with cool-looking designs set to be available. Every chapter, the game will allow for more improvements thanks to Archetypes, with more rewards available than usual through live events and Objectives. These include more PlayStyles, bigger attribute boosts and vanity items. Another big reward available by completing live events is XP multipliers. XP multipliers do what they say on the tin; you will earn more XP quicker with these items. These are in place to ensure that if you were to start playing Clubs in, say, February, you can catch up quicker to the higher rating and not be left behind. ‌ But, along with this comes a downside. FC Points can now be spent in Clubs to purchase XP multipliers, so you may be able to fast-track your way to the higher ratings by putting money into the game. Let's hope this isn't the case and there's some sort of protection in place to prevent this. New live events are coming to Clubs Rush in EA FC 26, based around FC Seasons. These are high-stakes knockout tournaments where you can play up to four rounds solo or with a team. By completing these live events, not only will you earn progress in Clubs, but also towards the FC Season Objectives. There are also new House Rule modes available for Rush to keep things fresh. Some of the examples we know are Rugby Rush, where standing tackles are instead over the top shoulder barges with no fouls. We were also told you can play in extreme weather conditions, something that could make things really interesting. ‌ A change that's been demanded for years has been granted, so in EA FC 26, you will no longer be restricted to one club at a time. Now, you can be part of up to three teams at once, and you can easily swap between teams in the menus. The 11v11 team selection page has been updated visually, with this lobby now extremely similar, if not the same, as Ultimate Team. The level of the AI players has always been a complaint for the Clubs faithful, so now, managers can use their facility budget to improve the attributes of AI teammates rather than just the pros in the club. Goalkeepers have been overhauled in FC 26, so now, if you are a goalkeeper in Clubs, there are more controls and in-game commands, giving you more to do during the game. Fatigue has been updated, meaning there is no long-term fatigue for your pros. So, if your pro has 94 pace and picks up the ball in the 88th minute, he will have full stamina, meaning the quick players will always feel quick. The match rating system has been updated. Now, your rating will be evaluated on how well you play to your dedicated tactical role, which then decides how much XP you get. For example, if you are a left-midfielder whose tactical role is to play as a balanced winger but you constantly sit at striker and score three goals, despite the hat-trick, your rating could be low due to the neglect shown towards tactics. EA has expanded the quick-chat feature in EA FC 26 as well. When introduced in FC 25, just four messages were available, but it was a hit, so EA has increased this to 16 in FC 26. And lastly, if you pre-order any version of FC 26, you can unlock an additional Archetype slot in Clubs without needing to use Clubs Coins, while you will also earn a consumable for double Archetype XP for 20 games.

Tipp star had same bizarre preparation for All-Ireland final as World Cup winner

Tipperary goalkeeper Rhys Shelly has revealed the unique preparation he had for the All-Ireland final. Shelly, 24, was an integral part of a Tipp team that defied expectations to go all the way to the final this year and beat hot favourites Cork to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup. The Moycarkey–Borris clubman is still on cloud nine and doesn't intend on coming down anytime soon. He told Tipp FM: "It's still hard to believe that we do have it [Liam MacCarthy], to be honest. "Talking over there, I said the homecoming will help it settle in. It means everything. "Someone said it to me, doing all the walks beforehand and time it cut to me, I was just smiling. "Just enjoy no point getting too bogged down in things - it's hurling. We're amateurs at the end of the day. If you don't enjoy it, there's no point playing it. "Just enjoying every minute of it." Shelly was understandably nervous ahead of the biggest match of his career last weekend. But the goalkeeper seemingly took inspiration from Italian football great Andrea Pirlo. "The day before is probably the worst for me, the waiting around," Shelly said. "I was playing Ultimate Team on FIFA, the head was kind of gone! I don't know if it was good prep..." Midfield maestro Pirlo revealed in his autobiography that he spent the afternoon playing video games before playing the 2006 World Cup final. Pirlo said: "I spent the afternoon of Sunday, 9 July 2006 in Berlin sleeping and playing the PlayStation. In the evening, I went out and won the World Cup."

EA Sports immortalizes Diogo Jota after removing Liverpool hero from EAFC 25 game

Tributes to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva continue to pour in. The Liverpool man was also an avid player of EAFC (formerly FIFA), and makers EA Sports have become the latest to pay their respects following the brothers' shock passing. If there is one remotely positive thing to come out of the tragedy, it is a reminder of the impact that Diogo and Andre had on so many, as has been made apparent by the mass outpouring of grief from all over the world. Part of the massive legacy that Jota leaves behind is his own eSports team, Luna Galaxy. He personally was just as talented on the virtual pitch as the real one, winning a Premier League FIFA tournament back in 2020; he beat Trent Alexander-Arnold in the final. He was also at one point the top-ranked player in FUT Champions, a competitive game mode within Ultimate Team. READ MORE: Lionel Messi gave Hugo Ekitike three-word nickname ahead of Liverpool transfer READ MORE: Liverpool transfer news LIVE: Hugo Ekitike deal, Alexander Isak admission, Rodrygo talks EA Sports has now marked that part of Jota's life with a touching in-game tribute. Having initially removed his Ultimate Team card from the EAFC 25 game, as is standard practice when an active player passes away, the makers of the game have since put together a poignant gesture. Every player of FC25 Ultimate Team has been sent a special tifo pack. It contains his No. 18 jersey from his time at Wolves, his No. 19 jersey from Porto, and his No. 20 jersey from Liverpool. Liverpool, meanwhile, has taken the decision to retire the No. 20 jersey. Jota is now listed under his own "forever" section on the club's squad list. Players can choose to display the tifos in-game as a virtual tribute to Jota. "To honor and celebrate the life of one of our most passionate FC players, three new Diogo Jota Tifos have been added to your UT Club," EA Sports wrote to its players. The message was headlined "one of us". It isn't the first eSports-related tribute Jota has received. Among the moving scenes of tributes laid outside Anfield, various gaming controllers were left. Like Liverpool, both Porto and Wolves have also marked Jota's passing in their own ways. Molineux was also flooded with tributes, with the flowers now set to be turned into colored ink to form part of a more permanent memento. Meanwhile, Wolves also enrolled Jota into the club's Hall of Fame. Made up of historic players and teams from the club's past, he is one of fewer than 40 members, and the first addition in more than two years. Porto will honor Jota at an upcoming friendly with Atletico Madrid. The forward actually represented both clubs, although he never played competitively for the Spanish side. Around the world, players have also been paying personal tributes by emulating Jota's "gaming" celebration. They sit down and mime holding a controller, as Jota would do on occasion. Darwin Nunez and Ousmane Dembele have both paid their respect in this fashion, as have others. Like the EA Sports tribute, it's a fitting touch to honor someone who was genuinely elite in two separate fields.

EA FC 26 trailer countdown – when will the reveal trailer go live and what to expect

A countdown to when EA Sports' EA FC 26 reveal trailer will finally go live and give players a first look at the new game. It's almost time to take our first look at EA FC 26, with the EA FC 26 reveal trailer dropping very soon. ‌ After weeks of constant EA FC 26 leaks, we are finally starting to gather information about the new game from an official source, with EA Sports beginning to make its first EA FC 26 announcements over the last few days. From the EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition cover star being revealed to confirmation of the EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition pre-order bonuses, everything EA FC 26-related is starting to drop, and soon, we're set to get a first official look at the new game thanks to the EA FC 26 reveal trailer. ‌ In EA FC 25, EA 's reveal trailer was slated heavily by the Ultimate Team community, with little to no actual gameplay being shown. But, in a recent teaser for the EA FC 26 trailer posted to the @EASPORTSFC Twitter account, EA has seemingly picked up on the feedback, almost ridiculing itself for last year's trailer and giving players hope that the EA FC 26 reveal trailer will feature a lot more gameplay. ‌ But, when does the EA FC 26 reveal trailer go live? Here's a live EA FC 26 trailer countdown, as well as what we expect to see. EA FC 26 reveal trailer start time The EA FC 26 reveal trailer will go live on the EA Sports FC YouTube on Wednesday, July 16 at 8:57 am PDT / 11:57am EDT/ 4:57pm BST. We will be reacting to the trailer live on the All Out Gaming YouTube from 8:40 am PDT / 11:40am EDT/ 4:40pm BST, where you can get a detailed breakdown of what was shown in the trailer. ‌ So, when the trailer is released, what can we expect to see? Firstly, even though EA has hinted towards more actual gameplay being shown, expect a lot of dramatic, cinematic shots of players, stadiums, managers and more. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic the Ultimate Edition cover star, the Swede should be involved in the trailer, as should Cole Palmer, with the Englishman involved in the teaser trailer. Jude Bellingham and Jamal Musiala are expected to be involved with the duo leaked to feature on the EA FC 26 standard edition cover, and we may also get some shots of Bayern Munich's stadium, the Allianz Arena, with the stadium set to return in EA FC 26. Players from partner clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Juventus should also feature, while we should see some new FUT Icons included as well. EA will release detailed deep dives ahead of EA FC 26's release for gameplay, Ultimate Team, Career Mode and more, so gameplay-wise, we don't expect a detailed breakdown of new additions and features, but hopefully, we get a few glimpses of what we can expect in EA FC 26.
