Boots is back with its weekly £10 Tuesday deals, and this is one summer essential you shouldn't miss. For today only (Tuesday 8 July), Boots is selling this Garnier Vitamin C SPF Duo for £10 instead of its usual £23.38, or £25.98 if you were to buy the two products together – a saving of over £16. This set gets you the Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Fluid SPF50+ Glow, a gorgeous glow-boosting facial SPF for wearing under make-up or on its own, plus the new Garnier Vitamin C UV Mist, which is perfect for topping up your sun protection throughout the day without disturbing your make-up. Although both products are reduced on Amazon too, if you were to buy them both from Amazon right now it would cost you £13.48, so Boots is definitely the best place to buy them today. If you do happen to miss this Boots £10 Tuesday sale though (and popular products do sell out fast), Amazon is the next best place to buy them, currently reduced to £5.49 for the fluid and £7.89 for the mist. Boots customers are loving this SPF duo, especially the glow-boosting lotion, praising how mice it makes the skin look: "Fantastic sun protection with even light glowing coverage that has replaced my daily foundation," one review underneath the bundle reads. "These two Garnier products are great. Promote clear bright skin and also offers high protection," another five-star review reads. "Highly recommended. Good value for money." "Using these products for 2 years now, very good for black skin," a third person agreed. Despite having thousands of five-star reviews on Amazon too, one shopper, however, found that it didn't sit well under their make-up: "Nice light fluid, decent protection but it pills terribly under make-up," their review reads. "I bought it because I wanted a light sunscreen to wear daily and that includes in work days etc when I'm wearing make-up and it's no use unless I'm keeping a totally bare face." One SPF that we can't praise enough that looks incredible both under make-up and on its own is Ultra Violette Future Fluid SPF50+ Superlight Mineral Skinscreen, £38. This Garnier glowy bundle also might not be for you if you have very greasy skin or prefer a matte finish. Experts recommend that we protect our skin from both UVA and UVB rays - here are some facial SPFs to consider Every skin specialist will concur that the sun is the most harmful external stressor for the skin, leading to ageing signs, loss of elasticity and hyperpigmentation. Therefore, incorporating sunscreen into our skincare routine is absolutely essential. Skin Health Alliance experts advise that our skin needs protection from both UVA and UVB rays. This means a sunscreen with a sufficiently high SPF and a good UVA star rating is vital. In the UK, sunscreens are sold with two ratings - the SPF rating measures their protection against UVB, while the 5-star rating assesses their protection against UVA. The twist and squeeze design of this sunscreen is straightforward to use, but it can leave residue on the applicator, making re-application a bit messy when you're out and about. You can snap up the sunscreen from SpaceNK, where it is currently reduced to £30.40. Clarins UV Plus Multi-Protection SPF50 Moisturising Fluid, £28 (was £34) Tailored for city dwellers who spend their days in the hustle and bustle of the city, this beloved sun cream has earned the title of 'Amazon's Choice' product. Infused with organic mango leaf extract, it not only bestows a delightful mango scent upon application but also provides a formidable defence against five prevalent pollutants: atmospheric, indoor, pollen, blue light, and photo-pollution. Amazon shoppers are over the moon with Clarins' sunscreen, praising its ultra-light, quick-absorbing texture that 'works well with makeup' without leaving any oily or white cast behind. Its potent ingredients have been shown to enhance the skin's natural protective barriers by 64%, locking in hydration for extended periods. Yet, one ardent Clarins enthusiast was disappointed to find the Moisturising Fluid's formula had changed, sharing their frustration: "It is no longer a light, thin, almost watery product (in the best way possible) but now more like a traditional sun screen product - thicker and stickier to apply. I found I had to use more product than usual as it didn't 'spread' across the skin as freely." Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50, £15.99 For an affordable SPF, I highly recommend the Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50. Biore is a popular brand in Japan and other South East Asian countries, with their sun care range consistently topping the sales charts at drugstores - and for good reason. The formula, made in Japan, offers a lightweight cream that absorbs into the skin instantly without leaving any white residue. I used up the entire tube within two months and it worked seamlessly with my foundation - meaning there was no rubbery residue on my face and it didn't leave my skin looking overly pale. However, I wasn't a fan of the applicator and found it difficult to get two lines of suncream on my fingers without it splurging onto my hand. I found it easier to use without the applicator. With a formulation that includes Hyaluronic acid and micro defence technology, the Biore SPF is oil-free, won't clog pores and blends into all skin tones for a cast-free finish. Charlotte Tilbury XL Invisible UV Flawless Poreless Primer SPF50++++ Shield, £65 This product combines sunscreen and primer in one bottle. The sunscreen primer is enriched with hyaluronic acid, pollution defence and SPF 50 PA++++ to protect, hydrate and prime skin. The Flawless Poreless Primer was previously only available in one size, but Charlotte has now launched a larger 60ml version. Customers are raving about how the primer sunscreen sits "beautifully underneath makeup" and imparts a soft-focus glow. The founder, Charlotte, shared her thoughts: "I always say you can't have a beautiful painting without a beautiful canvas - and this primer creates the perfect flawless, poreless looking base for makeup. Applying SPF should be a daily routine, so using the Chantecaille SPF not only protects your skin but also acts as an anti-ageing shield over time, thanks to high-quality pure botanicals including cherry blossom, lemon balm and white tea extract. The Ordinary revamps £15 SPF with lightweight serum with ‘zero white cast'
If you're looking for a great facial sunscreen at a reasonable price, you might want to check out this 'non-greasy' new SPF 45 formulation from high street favourites The Ordinary Most beauty lovers should know that wearing SPF on your face every day is a must for protecting your skin against not only sun damage but also signs of premature ageing, but it can be tricky to find one that ticks all the boxes: offers a high level of protection, doesn't feel greasy, isn't visible on the skin, and isn't so expensive that you can't afford to use it every day. Luckily, we think we've found just the one. Proving that beauty brands don't always get it right the first time, high street heroes The Ordinary scrapped its existing facial sunscreen following customer feedback about thick texture and white colour and went back to the drawing board – and this new product, UV Filters SPF 45 Serum, priced at £15.80 from The Ordinary's website and Boots, is the result. Gloriously fluid and quickly absorbed, it gives glow without any greasy sensation and doesn't clog pores, making it ideal for complexions that mean more towards combination or oily. Despite only just hitting shelves, this SPF has already amassed dozens of five star reviews from people who has already tried, both those that were gifted it by The Ordinary in return for their honest review, and those who bought it themselves. "I love this sunscreen!" one review reads. "It's not messy, it blends in so easily and effortlessly. It leaves the skin moisturised and not greasy. It went easily with my moisturiser so no pilling. It's truly that good!" "I love The Ordinary products and this is sunscreen serum is lightweight, non-greasy and perfect under make-up!" another fan wrote. "Leaves my skin glowing while providing strong SPF 45 protection. A new must-have in my skincare routine!" A third review reads: "This was my first time trying a serum-style sunscreen, and I was honestly surprised by how well it worked. The texture is super lightweight and easy to apply, and it didn't feel greasy at all. It absorbed quickly and sat well under make-up. On my tan skin, there was a very slight cast at first, but it mostly blended out after a few minutes. The scent is there, but not overpowering. Overall, a solid daily SPF that feels more like skincare than sunscreen." Some, however, remarked how they wished The Ordinary had made a mineral sunscreen instead. Mineral formulas can be better for those with sensitive skin or easily irritated eyes, but can leave be thicker and more visible on the skin, especially on dark tones. ‘I'm blown away with how good this tinted moisturiser makes my skin feel'
I've tried out lots of tinted moisturisers recently, and I thought I'd found a favourite – but this new launch trumps them all for hydration and a radiant finish With the weather getting warmer, this spring I've been on a mission to find one of the best tinted moisturisers and skin tints to replace my full coverage foundation with. I've already found some brilliant new ones, including Clarins, Hourglass and Laura Mercier, but this newest one I've tried has immediately taken the top spot. Having previously tried Jones Road's viral What The Foundation – which received mixed reviews – I was keen to see how the latest base product by the skincare and make-up brand (which was founded by Bobbi Brown) would fare. Jones Road is known for its natural-looking, easy-to-use products, and Just Enough Tinted Moisturizer is no exception – and I'd go as far as to say that it's the best tinted moisturiser I've ever tried. Priced at £44, Just Enough Tinted Moisturizer comes in 16 shades (a good range for a sheer face base), is non-comedogenic (meaning it won't block pores) and contains sodium hyaluronate, a humectant with molecules even smaller than hyaluronic acid for deep hydration. I picked the shade Ivory, which was the perfect match for me, although the shades are so flexible that you could probably find two or three that would suit you. It goes on like an absolute dream. I normally prefer to use a make-up brush to apply any type of foundation or face base but this goes on so well with fingers, without any smears or patches; it's totally seamless. The coverage is very sheer – lighter, I'd say, than the Clarins one – so it's not one for you if you need to cover prominent redness or marks (or you'll need to use a good concealer over the top), but it leaves the most lovely dewy finish to the skin – really natural, healthy and just subtly perfected. The two things that most impressed me though were, firstly, how well it lasted it lasted. I usually find that even the most expensive skin tints and tinted moisturisers turn patch y on my skin as the day goes on and the 'hydrating' element of the formula wears off. Not this Jones Road one though – it stays feeling fresh all day. I also couldn't believe how soft and smooth it made my skin look and feel; I honestly couldn't stop touching my face all day. Unlike the brand's What The Foundation, however, it's not greasy or slippy at all, and other make-up also sat beautifully on top of it. Of course, there may be other factors at play as to why I like how this looks on my skin. I'm really happy with my skincare routine at the moment – a simple one featuring Teresa Tarmey Cleanser, £42, a brilliant new vitamin C serum that I'm not allowed to reveal yet, and Ultra Violette Future Fluid SPF 50+ Superlight Mineral SKINSCREEN, £38. I've also been diligently using my ZIIP Halo facial toning device most mornings, which I think is really making a difference. If you like the sound of a lightweight, light coverage tinted moisturiser but have never quite found the right one for you, however, I urge you to give this Jones Road one a try.

I'VE fully embraced spring this month - winter dragged on for far too long, so as soon as the clocks went back, my heavy knits and chunky boots got packed away. 9 Even when the weather isn't playing ball, Glossier You Fleur, £70 for 50ml EDP, has helped keep my spring spirit alive. It has a saltiness that immediately transports you to the beach, with fruity apricot and the comforting, warm woody, cashmere notes of the original Glossier You - I've been wearing it daily, and can still smell it on my clothes in the laundry basket! I'm a big believer in a pick-and-mix beauty routine - every brand has products it does really well, and others that are a bit of a flop, so I wouldn't recommend a multi-step routine from the same brand before, but the latest launch from Irish brand Sculpted By Aimee has turned that on its head. There's not a single dud in the three-product strong Glow Collection - Sculpted By Aimee Energising Eye Cream, £26, has a cooling metal applicator that has been a godsend for my hayfever-riddled eyes and a super-lightweight consistency that feels instantly soothing on delicate undereye skin. 9 Sculpted By Aimee LiquidGlo Brightening Essence, £24 BUY NOW Sculpted By Aimee LiquidGlo Brightening Essence, £24, is packed with my favourite skincare ingredient - niacinamide, which is an all-rounder that helps balance oil production, calm inflammation and reduce texture - in a water-like formula that's virtually weightless on skin and doesn't leave behind any sticky residue, so you can layer it with pretty much anything. BUY NOW Finally, the star of the show, Sculpted By Aimee Hydrabright Illuminating Serum, £30, is the only vitamin C serum I've ever managed to use consistently. I often find they're greasy, and pretty much every one I've tried has caused my skin to break out, but it's been a month and my skin is looking better than ever - the only thing it's added is more glow! The I nkey List Exosome Hydro-Glow Complex, £20 I've also been using The Inkey List Exosome Hydro-Glow Complex, £20, morning and night since it launched at the start of the month. Founders Mark Curry and Colette Laxton told me it's the jack of all trades (and master of them too!) so will improve pretty much every skin concern, and make the rest of the products in my routine also work harder. I'm no scientist, so I can't confirm if that's true, but given the current state of my skin, I'm inclined to agree with them. Again, glow is a major focus, but as someone who usually runs from the word given my oily, spot-prone complexion, I'm happy to report the serum feels like silk without any sign of oiliness. Ultra Violette Future Fluid SPF50+ Superlight Mineral Skinscreen, £38 BUY NOW SPF is always the last step in my morning routine - if you're not already wearing it daily, let the recent sunny weather persuade you otherwise - and Ultra Violette Future Fluid SPF50+ Superlight Mineral Skinscreen, £38, has unexpectedly become my go-to. I say unexpectedly, as it's made from mineral sunscreen filters, which I thought I hated (they're often thick and oily) but this new gen is super-fluid, and absorbs almost instantly, so it doesn't interfere with my make-up. The White Lotus' Aimee Lou Wood reveals her exact make-up routine to get that signature glow and opens up on 'drawing attention' to her gap tooth For days when I'm not wearing a full face of glam, I've been using Supergoop! Protec(Tint) Daily SPF Tint SPF50, £40, in place of foundation, thanks to the buildable coverage. It blends easily, so it's not at all patchy which can be a problem with some skin tints - plus, it has a slightly thicker, more hydrating consistency that leaves my skin feeling moisturised all day. Victoria Beckham Beauty The Brush Collection, from £30 Victoria Beckham Beauty The Brush Collection, from £30, is the launch that has wowed me the most this month - inspired by calligraphy tools, the walnut handles are shaped to fit perfectly in your hand, and the bristles are densely packed to pick up pigment, while feeling feather-soft. To get the best value for money, I'd buy the double-ended versions first, but a word of warning: once you've bought one, you're going to want more, so it might be worth buying the Custom Brush Set, which is fully customisable - you have to pick at least three of the nine-strong collection to save 10%. Who doesn't love a discount?!
