Lorde fans spot massive clue that the singer is set to announce Australia and New Zealand leg of her Ultrasound World Tour
Lorde appears to be gearing up for a long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand - and fans are losing it. On Tuesday night, eagle-eyed Melburnians spotted a giant digital billboard flashing images of the Kiwi singer above the iconic Young & Jackson pub at the corner of Flinders and Swanston Street, one of the city's busiest intersections. The cryptic visuals, which lit up the night sky, featured surreal, blue-tinted clips of Lorde accompanied by the word 'Ultrasound' - a direct nod to her upcoming world tour and her latest album Virgin. The same promo has since been spotted in Sydney, sparking a frenzy among fans who believe an official tour announcement is just hours away. While nothing has been formally confirmed yet, Frontier Touring has hinted that all will be revealed tomorrow, July 11. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Fan accounts were quick to react online, with @lordeontour dropping three emergency emoji sirens, and another follower begging, 'PLEASE BRING LORDE TO ADELAIDE.' It comes after Lorde hinted that an Aussie and Kiwi leg would be added to her Ultrasound tour, despite both countries being left off the original announcement. 'Could you imagine if I didn't? That would be bad, that would be bad,' she teased in a recent interview. 'Watch this space.' Lorde's new album Virgin, released on June 27, has already received critical acclaim and commercial success, debuting at No. 1 in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, and landing at No. 2 in the US. The singer has also teased more music to come, revealing there are unreleased B-sides that didn't make the final cut of Virgin. She gave fans a taste of what to expect from the Ultrasound era with a surprise performance at Glastonbury last month - her first live appearance tied to the new record. The tour kicks off in Texas on September 17 and will travel across the US, UK and Europe before wrapping up in Sweden on December 9. Support acts joining Lorde on the road include Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Empress Of, Chanel Beads, Jim-E Stack and Oklou. Just days ago, the New Zealand pop star opened up about a tough time where all she thought about was ' weighing as little as possible'. The singer spoke in a candid interview with Jack Saunders on Radio 1 on Monday. She told how at the start of 2023 she was struggling mentally and wasn't able to focus on any creative pursuits or making music. At Glastonbury she had said on stage that she thought she'd 'never make music again' - a comment with Jack asked her to clarify in their interview. The New Zealand-born star explained: 'At the beginning of 2023 I was just not in a great way in a lot of ways and I'd never felt more distant from my creativity. I didn't think I had anything to offer and I hadn't had an idea in a while. 'This was a period when I was trying to weigh as little as possible and going to sleep and thinking about food and weight and wake up thinking about food and exercise and that was creative pursuit you know... 'That was where it was all going and at that time I was like I really need to stop doing this because it's blocking all my artistry. 'Once that went away it all started to come back!' It comes after Lorde surprised fans at her record release party in Berlin last Wednesday when she performed to a small group of lucky attendees. The event, hosted by Universal Music, was to celebrate the launch of her new album Virgin, with fans having no idea that the musician would actually perform. The album cover features an x-ray of her pelvis with her hip bones, belt buckle, and zipper visible and - inter-uterine device included. It's not entirely clear if the X-ray is of Lorde but has reached out for comment to confirm. The singer dropped the visual to her Instagram where she also announced the title of her fourth studio album and it's release date as June 27.

Singer Lorde faced 'such damage' after poor arena tour sales
New Zealand singer Lorde has recalled looking out at "massive drapes" covering rows of empty seats during her 2017/2018 Melodrama arena tour and admits she "had such damage" over the experience. In April, the 28-year-old released her first solo single since 2021 called What Was That. Now, the Auckland native is gearing up for her Ultrasound Tour, which kicks off in September in support of her upcoming fourth album, Virgin. Speaking to the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, Lorde said not packing out her previous arena tour left her feeling "so vulnerable". "This is my first arena show since then, because I had such damage from that feeling," she said. "People don't think about the fact that the person on stage, whose name is on the banner, is looking at someone walking out, some seat not being full. It's so vulnerable." Asked to give advice to artists who may find themselves in a similar situation, she said: "You have to just be like, 'Oh my God, it's insane how many people are here,'" she said. "It's incredible. People paying money. And they love it, and they don't ever think you did a bad job. They love it; you couldn't do a bad job." The Royals singer most recently delighted US fans with a surprise Coachella appearance alongside British singer Charlie XCX. During the set, she announced it was "Lorde Summer 2025", leading fans to speculate the new album will be released in the coming months.

Lorde crashes a Lorde themed nightclub event in Sydney
Grammy-winner Lorde has stunned fans by making a surprise appearance at an event dedicated to her in Sydney. The star crashed the 'Lorde-themed club night' at Mary's Underground where she danced and sang along to her own songs alongside delighted revellers on Sunday night. 'We're throwing a club night dedicated to @lorde on Sunday, 25 May as part of our new Sunday series at @marysunderground!,' organisers wrote on promotional posts in the lead up to the event. 'We're officially in the L4 era, so it's only right we throw a party for our true Lorde & saviour! 'Come dance (or cry) in the club as DJ @xeimma plays all the eras, alongside alt-pop bangers, drag shows, and themed drinks!' It comes after 28-year-old singer recently announced a new album called Virgin and her Ultrasound world tour. It will be her first record since Solar Power in 2021 and follows the release of her single What Was That earlier in 2025. Lorde – who shot to global fame as a teenager with her signature track Royals – has released three albums and, according to a media release, Virgin will showcase a 'bold evolution in her sound and storytelling'. The announcement comes just more than 18 months after the Green Light hit maker revealed she had been working on new music while living in London. The New Zealand pop star – whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor – told fans in an email newsletter that she had been living in the British capital since mid-2023. 'Things feel clear here. I haven't seen many friends; mostly, I'm alone with my thoughts,' she said. 'I go swimming, I go to work, I walk home or take the train, I eat in my kitchen, I go to bed thinking about what I'm making. I'm starting to miss my friends and family, like a vitamin I'm deficient in.' Lorde also revealed in the same update that she has been battling a mystery illness. At the time, she noted that she had stopped taking her regular medication after spending more than a decade on it and found herself becoming ill on several occasions. 'The little yellow pill I took every morning for thousands of mornings since I was 15. My gut isn't working properly, my skin is worse than ever, I've gotten sick half a dozen times.' Lorde went on to explain to fans that she has 'never really listened' to her body and has used this year to focus on her health after 'ignoring' it for so long. Virgin will be released on June 27.
