Love Island fans divided as two Islanders axed including 'winner'
Megan Forte Clarke and Remell Mullins were asked to leave the Island tonight after viewers voted for their favourite stars and they came in at the bottom of the list Love Island viewers have been left divided after a dramatic elimination saw two islanders dumped from the villa tonight (June 27), including one half of a couple previously tipped to win the entire series. The public have been voting for their favourite Islanders, and after the results came in, Megan Forte Clarke and Remell Mullins were revealed to be the public's least liked girl and boy in the villa. This meant they were asked to leave the island in the most recent instalment of the ITV reality show. Remell has been tipped to leave Love Island early ever since he stepped out on viewer favourite Alima, but Megan's exit comes as a surprise as only days ago viewers were predicting that she and her partner Tommy Bradley were frontrunners to win the entire series. Bookies indicated they were in the lead, with Betfred offering Megan at 15/8 and Unibet putting Tommy at 7/4 to take the Love Island prize home just last Wednesday (June 18). Fans also thought Megan was destined to be at the Love Island finale with Tommy by her side, as one previously tweeted: "I know Tommy and Megan are on the clear road to win Love Island UK but we actually can't let that happen." Fans have reacted to her exit, with one poking fun at her sudden fall from grace, saying: "Megan really quickly went from Hero to Zero." Another agreed: "Megan deffo had a chance at winning the show if she just stuck with Tommy." Someone else was delighted to see her booted out as a consequence for her actions, and shared: "Megan has been dumped? Thank God. What she did to Tommy was awful." Before she was voted out, Megan's love story took a dramatic turn this week. After being coupled up with Tommy since day one, the 24-year-old Irish beauty sparked outrage among viewers when she shared a secret kiss with fellow Irish islander Conor Phillips while Conor's partner Emily was away from the villa. After Emily returned, she confronted Conor about his betrayal in the Snug. She seemed particularly surprised that Megan had agreed to lock lips with him, saying: "That's quite intense… I thought Megan was more into Tommy to the point where she wouldn't have done that." Later that evening, Conor dropped another bombshell by telling Emily that he would be spending the night with Megan in the Hideaway. In the private bedroom the pair had another smooch, and Conor even gifted Megan his bracelet. Fans were left furious after both Conor and Megan hurt the feelings of the people they were coupled up with. One took to social media to say: "Conor didn't care one bit about dumping Emily. She basically did it without him asking." Another viewer fumed: "OMG not Megan and Conor going to the hideaway MINUTES after dumping Emily and Tommy." Poor Tommy was heartbroken to have lost Megan after going steady with her since the start of the show, and opened up to his friends Harry and Ben, admitting he just wanted to "sit in a quiet corner". Before going into the Hideaway with Conor Megan pulled Tommy for a chat, coldly telling him: "It's nothing against you, but I'm here to explore connections. I didn't have to come and tell you this but I do like you, so I am telling you."

Who is the favourite to win the Royal Ascot Gold Cup 2025?
The bookies are undecided and are expecting a tight race in the main event race on day three at Ascot as Trawlerman, Candelari and Illinois all poised to compete for Gold Cup glory The Gold Cup of this year promises to be a thrilling event, with a fresh victor set to etch their name in the annals of history after the gruelling two-and-a-half-mile race. Our attention is immediately drawn to Trawlerman, last year's second-place finisher. The seven-year-old racer appears to be in prime form, having recently clinched victory at the Henry II Stakes at Sandown in May, leaving Coltrane, who will also be competing here, trailing in his wake. Sweet William, last year's third-place finisher, is another competitor to watch out for. He is known for his consistent performance and will no doubt put up a good fight. Candelari, on the other hand, is an intriguing contender. Despite his relative inexperience – he has only competed five times – he has already bagged a Group 1 win just under two miles in his last outing. Illinois has been selected as Aidan O'Brien's representative following Kyprios' unfortunate retirement due to injury. Although he will need to demonstrate his endurance for this demanding race, like several others in this field, Illinois has consistently performed well in long-distance races, including at last year's Queen's Vase during the Royal Meeting. It promises to be another exciting horse racing meet and the bookies will be busy with all their exciting new offers. Who is the favourite to win the Gold Cup 2025 at Royal Ascot? The bookies have priced Trawlerman as the favourite to win the race having lost to last year's champion Kyprios by a length on a good to firm course. John and Thady Gosden's horse has been fantastic over the last couple of years as one of the best stayers in the business and having dominated in his outing at Sandown it seems many will be backing the horse ridden by William Buick. Right now, he is best priced at 17/8 to win with Unibet while Sky Bet, Betfred and William Hill are all pricing the favourite at 2/1 to finally bring home the Gold Cup. Royal Ascot Gold Cup 2025 Odds Trawlerman - 2/1 Illinois - 2/1 Candelari - 9/4 Sweet William - 8/1 Dubai Future - 22/1 Wonder Legend - 33/1 Coltrane - 33/1 Yashin - 66/1 Gamble responsibly Reach plc is committed to promoting safer gambling. Scheff can cook up victory to add US Open to his honours list
Golfers at this week's US Open at Oakmont may wish to say a few prayers before they tackle one of the toughest courses in the world and bid to stop Scottie Scheffler edging closer to winning all four majors. It's the tenth time in 125 editions the Pittsburgh venue has hosted the tournament and it has gained a fearsome reputation, chiefly because of the formidable rough, slick greens and Church Pew bunker which sprawls across the third and fourth holes. But world No.1 Scheffler is an even bigger obstacle for those chasing glory, the Jack Nicklaus Medal and the £3.19million cheque handed to the man whose name tops the leaderboard after 72 holes around the daunting par-70 course. Scheff may have taken time to hit top form after suffering a hand injury at the turn of the year but he's back to his best after winning three of his last four outings, starting with an eight-stroke victory at the Byron Nelson, a five-shot triumph at the US PGA at Quail Hollow and a four-shot romp at the Memorial. Basically, those figures show that if he's playing at the peak of his powers nobody is going to get close and he can win a fourth major, following the US PGA and two Masters successes at Augusta, then turn his attention to achieving the career Grand Slam at next month's Open at Royal Portrush. Don't expect low scores at Oakmont. Dustin Johnson won the US Open with a course record of just four-under par the last time it was held at the track near the ominously named Dark Woods in 2016. That means pinpoint accuracy and nerves of steel are required for success and Scheff, who is also the FedEx Cup leader, has those qualities in abundance. Yes, he's extremely skinny at no bigger than 11/4 with Betfred, BetMGM and Unibet but we'll back him because there's nothing better than having a few quid on the winner. Value seekers can get stuck into the each-way value claims of Ben Griffin, second behind Scheffler at the Memorial, winner of the Charles Schwab Challenge and eighth at the US PGA in his last three starts, at 50/1 with Ladbrokes and Coral. More Trending Also play the hot hand of Sam Burns. He may have lost Sunday's Canadian Open play-off but hit a last-round 62 to get there and he's 55/1 with the same two firms, who offer the same price on Harris English. He finished tied 12th at Augusta and T2 at Quail Hollow. Sadly for Rory McIlroy fans, the Northern Irishman is struggling with a new driver, missed the cut at last week's Canadian Open and cannot be backed to add to his thrilling, Grand-Slam-competing win at the Masters. Shane Lowry just missed the cut for our US Open betting fourball, but he has been in decent form with a tied second at the Truist Championship and is worth an each-way flutter to be the first-round leader at Oakmont at 40/1 with BetMGM and Unibet. The Irishman is also 6/4 with Betfred for a top-20 finish. Meanwhile, Aaron Rai has the all-round smarts to feature prominently at Oakmont and is 7/1 with William Hill and Betway to be the top English golfer at the US Open and 7/2 with BetMGM and Unibet for a top-20 finish.
