Commanders' star calls Dan Quinn a 'difference-maker'

Dan Quinn ... best coach ???Zach Ertz loves his guy. @UpAndAdamsShow @Commanders Veteran tight end Zach Ertz believes the Washington Commanders have an advantage over other teams: Head coach Dan Quinn. Ertz joined Kay Adams on "Up & Adams" this week this week and was asked to name one thing the Commanders were better at than other teams. Ertz praised his coach. "I would say Coach Quinn is probably the best coach I've been around in front of the team and being himself, and bringing energy and holding guys accountable at the same time," Ertz said. "I think he is truly, truly a difference-maker here in this league, and I don't know if you can say that about every single coach that they're a difference-maker with their teams. But I think Coach Quinn truly elevates all of our performances. And not only on Sundays, but truly every day. And so, for me being around him in particular has opened my eyes to how good he is. I was never with him, I never played for him before I got out here, but immediately, you knew he was a difference-maker." Ertz has been around a long time, 13 years to be exact. He has played for some excellent head coaches and been around some truly remarkable leaders. Quinn is different. There's a reason so many players love playing for Quinn. One underrated aspect of Quinn's leadership is his care for veteran players. Washington signed multiple veterans last season, including Ertz and Bobby Wagner. They looked like they hadn't missed a beat. Ertz played in every game for only the second time since 2018 and finished with 66 receptions and seven touchdowns. And you wonder why a player like Von Miller signed with the Commanders. Washington has a specific plan in mind for Miller so that he can be at his best.

Paige Spiranac Reveals Why Less Clothing is More on the Golf Course

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Paige Spiranac is well known for wearing very tight outfits to create her golf-related content. The renowned influencer has stated several times that dressing this way helps her perform better on the course. Recently, she further supported this claim. Spiranac used her X account, where she is followed by over a million fans, to post a photo of herself wearing a high-collar top, which is highly unusual for her. The former professional player accompanied the post with the following caption: "If you've been following me for awhile you know I have this working theory that I play better when I wear less clothes." "Can confirm that science is right once again. I played like sh*t today." If you've been following me for awhile you know I have this working theory that I play better when I wear less clothes. Can confirm that science is right once again. I played like 💩 today — Paige Spiranac (@PaigeSpiranac) June 23, 2025 Spiranac didn't reveal the course where she played her round, but her choice of attire suggests one of the most conservative venues in the country. The Augusta National Golf Club logo on her headwear could spark all sorts of speculation. With over 4 million Instagram followers and more than 1.5 million TikTok followers, Paige Spiranac's dress style has practically become her trademark. However, she didn't decide on this style overnight. It evolved alongside her involvement with the sport. "I was a competitive gymnast before I switched over to golf. And so, I was so comfortable being in leotards and when I started playing golf I didn't have enough money to go out and buy a whole new golf-appropriate wardrobe," Spiranac said during an interview for the Up And Adams Show. "So I would often wear athletic wear that I just had in my closet and that was leggings and tank tops. That's how I learned the game of golf on public golf courses where there wasn't a strict dress code." Golf is a sport known for its set of unwritten rules that govern the game in its broadest sense, despite being unofficial. The dress code is part of the package and includes long pants and tucked-in collared shirts or T-shirts for men. Women have some leeway regarding wearing skirts or shorts. However, their tops must also have collars and be generally tucked in. The LPGA Tour, PGA Tour, and major championships enforce this dress code, while LIV Golf and the Asian Tour are more flexible regarding shorts. The DP World Tour, on the other hand, handles matters on a case-by-case basis. Its tournaments in Africa and the Middle East allow shorts, but others in Europe do not. Former Broncos Defender Expresses Interest to Re-Joining Team

The Denver Broncos are still looking to fill their 2025 NFL roster with reliable players on offense, defense, and special teams. They might be saving a special spot for former Broncos legend and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller. The future Hall of Famer turns 36 years old on Wednesday and doesn't have much in the tank to make more elite performances. Advertisement Miller was recently participating in the 2025 NFLPA Classic Golf Tournament with his own team composed of three of his former Broncos teammates. Up And Adams Show host Kay Adams saw how much fun Miller had with his old teammates and asked him about his excitement playing with his teammates again. 'I love the Denver Broncos, it's just about riding around and be back on the team again, it's fun day.' When asked about re-joining the Broncos, Miller kept his answers open: 'I mean, you'll just have to see. I've always loved blue and orange. You'll just have to see, it's a fun time for me and my career right now. You'd just have to wait and see and take it one day at a time. Just have fun and wait and see. I think the excitement of not knowing what's next. It can also be scary too. In my perception, I don't frame it like that, I've done everything I could possibly do and whatever is next for me is next.' Gregory Fisher-Imagn Images For what it was worth, Miller also said in the same interview that you can never replace current league MVP and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. There is a real possibility that Miller could re-sign with the Bills to potentially finish out his career with the current biggest AFC Championship threat to the Kansas City Chiefs. Advertisement This past season with the Bills, Miller has accounted for 17 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, six sacks and eight quarterback hits in 13 games. His three years in Buffalo have been underwhelming from a performance viewpoint. In 36 games (11 starts), Miller has accumulated 41 total tackles, 17 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and 23 quarterback hits. There might be real discussions that Miller might take his time this off-season to see if he wants to retire from the league. If Miller were to return to Denver, he would be a backup for the Broncos' current young pass rushers Zach Allen and Jonathon Cooper. It is known that Miller won't be a star defender again, but the Broncos and fans would love for the reunion to happen. Miller appears to be emotionally interested in a return as well to possibly finish his career. Related: Former Broncos Tight End Signs With Seahawks

Stars around the league make their pitch to Myles Garrett

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has been busy this week on his Radio Row media tour. The reason? To get his name out there after requesting a trade from Cleveland earlier this week. The NFL and its star players have taken notice of the news surrounding Garrett's trade request and his clear intention to leave the team. Bills defensive tackle Dion Dawkins and 49ers tight end George Kittle are two of the latest players to comment on the potential trade. When asked which NFL player he would like to add to the Bills roster, Dawkins said, 'Myles Garrett, right now, come rock with us. Let's win a Super Bowl.' Dion Dawkins with a message to Myles Garrett 👀 'Myles Garrett, right now, come rock with us. Let's win a Super Bowl.' 🍿 — House of Highlights (@HoHighlights) February 5, 2025 While a trade to an AFC team would be difficult, Garrett would be an immediate upgrade to any NFL roster, especially a contender like Buffalo. Kittle also weighed in on Garrett's situation during an appearance on FanDuels Up & Adams show: George Kittle to Myles Garrett: 'Hey Myles, we could be really good friends, I promise.' 😅 🎥: @UpAndAdamsShow — OurSF49ers (@OurSf49ers) February 6, 2025 'I think Fred (Warner) would love to have another solid defensive lineman to make his job easier,' Kittle said. He also joked that he and Garrett could be best friends if the star defender were to join the 49ers via trade. Recruitment season has officially begun this NFL offseason, and Myles Garrett is the player everyone wants. Rumors will continue to swirl as more players try to convince him to join their teams, despite him being under contract with Cleveland until 2026. The Browns also have the second overall pick, so it remains to be seen what type of future they will build with the potential return of their star defender.
