Upasana Kamineni Konidela Opens Up About Her Spiritual Faith, Shares an Anecdote About Facing a Tough Time in Her Life, says 'I Think That Faith Heals More Than Anything in This World' Upasana Kamineni Konidela Reveals the Reason Behind Observing Sai Baba Vrat Religiously, shares a Personal Anecdote: 'I Was Going Through a Very Tough Time at One Point in My Life and Was a Bit Shaken Up' Upasana Kamineni Konidela Talks About the Significance of Observing Sai Baba Vrat, Shares How It Helped Her Become a Better Person Upasana Kamineni Konidela has always been a keen believer in spirituality and faith. In a recent video, Upasana shed light on her devotion to the divine figure Sai Baba and spoke about the significance of observing a Vrat (fast). Going through shlokas and mantras from a booklet by Athamma's Kitchen, she also recalled a personal incident and shared how her faith led her to adopt this spiritual practice. Upasana said, 'I think everyone needs to find what they resonate with. For my husband, it's Ayyappa Swami; for me, it's Sai Baba. Since childhood, I've seen my grandparents and parents have the utmost faith in God. Faith provided a very powerful grounding for me. I was going through a very tough time at one point in my life and was a bit shaken up. So, they said, 'Why don't you try the Sai Baba Vrat?'' She added, 'Things started changing when I began reading the story. I became more positive. People around me also started becoming more positive. These small changes helped me realise that I was becoming a better person. That's why this Vrat means so much to me. If you're at a roadblock, if things aren't going your way, try some form of Vrat. I believe that faith heals more than anything in this world.' Along with sharing her personal experiences, Upasana Kamineni Konidela also encouraged netizens to embrace spirituality and consider observing fasts. Her reflections on the power of faith and fasting underscore its transformative potential, inspiring many to engage in the practice with sincerity and devotion.

National campaign on breast cancer awareness launched

Hyderabad: A CSR campaign titled 'Detect Early, Fight Early' was launched by Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson, CSR, Apollo Hospitals on Wednesday. The campaign focuses on creating awareness about breast cancer and the need for early detection. The campaign will be held in 24 cities across the country, reaching a total of 1.5 lakh women. It will be driven by trained field staff with constructive community participation and health risk assessments. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers among Indian women. According to ICMR's National Cancer Registry estimates, it accounts for 14 per cent of all cancers in women. One in every 29 women is at risk of developing breast cancer in their lifetime. It will organise respectful public discussions, workshops, and awareness sessions to ensure that women pay more attention to their health. Thus, they will recognise their symptoms early, understand them through self-examinations, and seek treatment at the right time. Fujifilm India Managing Director Koji Wada said, 'Breast cancer can be prevented through early detection and awareness. With this campaign, our goal is to provide adequate awareness to women, detect this disease early and save as many lives as possible.'

Being true to myself is the only validation I need: Upasana

Upasana Kamineni Konidela Upasana Kamineni Konidela believes the old definitions of success no longer serve today's world. Speaking at a recent city event, the entrepreneur and wellness advocate reflected on the evolving idea of purpose — one shaped by rest, joy, and impact rather than wealth alone. From juggling the demands of motherhood and business to championing women's financial independence, she offered honest insights on wellness, self-worth, and staying grounded in the digital age. 'Success isn't a number; it's a feeling' Speaking about how her idea of success has changed over the years, Upasana said, 'For me, success previously was about how many millions or billions you make. But right now, success equals how many jobs I can create. Success equals how much happiness I get. Success equals how much time I can take out for myself.' Urging women to define their own benchmarks, she said, 'Don't chase success. Define success yourself. And then chase it. Even if you're a homemaker, get it to the workforce. Add to your family's wealth. You can save your family's wealth also by running your house finances. But do something that has to do with finance because women are fantastic.' We both deeply value our careers and are equally involved in Kaara's upbringing — it's a partnership that keeps us grounded 'Digital detox is part of wellness too' Upasana spoke about the struggle with digital dependency, especially around sleep. 'Sleep is so important, but I have the worst broken sleep because I sleep with my phone beside me,' she admitted. 'People know what to do; it's just about following it — and that's the tough part.' She also touched upon how even her daughter is becoming digitally inclined. 'My daughter is not even two and she is already swiping screens. The blue light makes all of us so addicted,' she said, adding that she's now making a conscious effort to step back from screens when possible. 'Respect and mediation strengthen families' Reflecting on personal relationships, Upasana said that communication and respect are critical. 'Sometimes, we may not communicate perfectly with each other — but we have great mediators who help bridge that gap. And let me tell you, they don't come cheap. They're expensive, but I'm grateful to have trust and faith in them.' She further added, 'If you don't respect your family members, then I honestly feel you shouldn't be part of a family that loves you — because you're not doing right by them. ' Upasana with her mother-in-law, Surekha Konidela 'I pushed Athamma to become an entrepreneur & I take great pride in that' Upasana shared how she encouraged her mother-in-law, Surekha Konidela, to turn her passion for cooking into a business. 'Athamma never wanted to become an entrepreneur. I pushed her, and I take great pride in that. She has spent her whole life cooking for Mavaiyya (Chiranjeevi) and Ram Charan . No matter where Ram Charan travels in the world, he always wants at least one South Indian meal. I told her, 'Do this for us, and so many people will be happy.'' Upasana Kamineni advocates preventive wellness and purpose-driven leadership

In an engaging session titled 'Legacy, Leadership & Purpose – The New Age of Wellness,' Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Vice Chairperson of Apollo Foundation, shared powerful insights on healthcare, leadership, and self-care. Speaking to an audience in Hyderabad, Upasana emphasized the importance of preventive wellness, mental health, and women's empowerment in shaping a healthier society. The event marked the launch of FLO Health Kavach, a national initiative addressing women's key wellness challenges—including mental health, legal rights, financial literacy, and cybersecurity. 'If a woman is healthy, the whole household will be healthy,' Upasana noted, underscoring the ripple effect of women's well-being on communities. She urged attendees to embrace health insurance as 'the most empowering gift you can give yourself,' and reminded them, 'Rest is the best respect you give your body.' Upasana encouraged women to prioritize self-worth and self-care over societal validation. 'Don't wait to get sick. Prevention is better than a cure,' she said. Reflecting on her personal journey, she shared challenges faced as a woman entrepreneur, stressing the importance of being respected for one's work and ideas, not just for one's lineage. 'I want to be here because of my self-worth, not my birth,' she stated. An environmentalist at heart, Upasana spoke about the need for human-animal coexistence and highlighted Apollo's partnership with WWF-India, offering free medical care to forest staff across India. She concluded by redefining success: 'To me, success is how many jobs I create, how happy I am, and the time I make for myself. First define success for yourself—then pursue it.' The interactive session concluded with a vibrant Q&A on wellness trends, work-life balance, and purposeful leadership, leaving attendees inspired to lead healthier, more meaningful lives.
