Search for missing man at Silver Lake Flat in American Fork Canyon
This is a developing story. ABC4 will update this post as new information becomes available. UTAH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Utah County Search and Rescue crews are on scene after a report of a man that went missing Saturday evening. Sgt. Ray Ormond with the Utah County Sheriff's Office confirms that a 31-year-old male paddleboarder went under the water around 7 p.m. and never resurfaced. Crews from Utah County and other agencies are on scene assisting with the search. Due to the ongoing operations, the road up to Silver Lake Flat has been closed until further notice. BREAKING: Man impaled by stick during repelling accident, airlifted to medical facility

ALPINE, Utah () — A 40-year-old man is currently being transported to a medical facility after suffering a serious accident while repelling. According to Utah County Sheriff's Office, the man was repelling in the Three Falls area, near Alpine, when he fell and was impaled by a stick into his upper thigh. Utah County Search and Rescue and Lone Peak Fire District responded to the accident and were able to subsidize the bleeding by applying pressure to the wound. Life Flight arrived on the scene to hoist the man out of the area. He is currently being airlifted to an ambulance, which will transport him to a medical facility. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. 12-year-old rescued after going ‘briefly unconscious' in Eagle Mountain bathtub
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah (ABC4) — A 12-year-old was rescued during a possible drowning in the bathtub of an Eagle Mountain home Friday evening, according to the Utah County Sheriff's Office. The child was reportedly in the bathtub when he lost consciousness, according to Sgt. Ray Ormond, Utah County Sheriff's Office. Family members found him and reacted quickly to the situation, though details surrounding the incident are limited at this time. At around 7:30 p.m. on May 23, Unified Fire & EMS personnel responded to the residence and transported the boy to the hospital. He is said to be 'doing much better,' according to the hospital. In a social media post Friday night, the boy's sister, Brynlee, said: 'Hey everyone. His name is Jason and he is my younger brother. He was given life saving CPR which we will be forever grateful to our friends and neighbor. He is currently at the hospital and we are waiting for any good news. Any prayers we would appreciate so much! Thank you all for being concerned.'
