RPSC releases admit cards for RAS Mains 2024

Ajmer: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) issued admit cards Saturday for the RAS Mains 2024, confirming the examination dates as June 17 and 18. This decision finalises the schedule despite protests by candidates in Jaipur who demanded the exam be postponed until after the declaration of the RAS 2023 results. RPSC is ready to conduct the exams at 48 centres in Jaipur and 29 in Ajmer for 21,539 candidates who cleared the RAS Preliminary Exam 2024. An official source from RPSC stated, "We are going as per the schedule and are prepared to conduct the exam on the timetable given before." Another source added, "As the new chairman of the RPSC, Utkal Ranjan Sahoo, took charge recently, it would not send the right message to postpone the first exam conducted under his chairmanship." A third source mentioned, "The state govt has not recommended anything in this matter; therefore, the exam will proceed as scheduled, and admit cards have already been issued. " Meanwhile, candidates who presented a memorandum to the RPSC before protesting in Jaipur stated that many who cleared the RAS Preliminary 2024 are appearing for interviews of RAS 2023 and are demanding that the RAS Mains be conducted after the RAS 2023 results are declared. RPSC secretary Ramniwas Mehta said that despite the protest, 20,000 admit cards were download on first day out of the odd 21,500. "RPSC is determined to conduct exams on time," said Mehta. tnn Follow more information on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad here . Race for state top cop position heats up after Sahoo's new role

Jaipur: The search for Rajasthan's new Director General of Police (DGP) intensified Tuesday following the appointment of DGP Utkal Ranjan Sahoo as chairman of the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). Leading the seniority list of potential candidates is Rajeev Kumar Sharma, a 1990-batch IPS officer currently serving as Director General of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPRD). Sharma's extensive portfolio, including significant roles in both the Rajasthan police force and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), makes him a strong contender for the position. His previous experience as DG (Anti-Corruption Bureau) and head of Law and Order in the state further strengthens his candidacy. Ravi Prakash Meharda, another 1990-batch officer and Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), has been given the additional charge as DGP following Sahoo's appointment to RPSC. Even as he is approaching retirement, Meharda's unblemished service record and strong performance keep him in contention for permanent position in the top post. Other prominent candidates include Sanjay Kumar Agrawal (1992 batch), who currently heads the Intelligence wing and previously served as Jaipur Police Commissioner. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Sanitize & Smooth Clothes Fast with Philips Steamer Philips Garment Steamers Shop Now Undo Adding to the list is Anand Kumar Srivastava (1994 batch), Director General of the Armed Battalion, whose recent promotion to DG rank (on May 21) has sparked speculation about his potential elevation.
