Telangana's EAPCET first phase counselling saw high demand for emerging technologies and computer science, filling nearly all available seats. Out of 83,054 seats, 77,561 were allotted, leaving only 5,493 for subsequent phases. According to the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE), which announced the first phase seat allotment on Friday, 77,561 out of the 83,054 seats available under the convenor quota were taken. In electronics and electrical engineering courses, 87.23% of the 16,112 seats were filled. Courses such as electronics communication and instrumentation engineering, electronics and telematics, electronics engineering (VLSI design and technology), electronics and computer engineering, and electronics and instrumentation engineering are completely filled. In the civil, mechanical, and allied branches, 79.32% of the 7,100 seats were allotted. Other courses with 100% seat occupancy include chemical engineering, geoinformatics, and agricultural engineering.

Hyderabad: Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) have announced the results for the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TG ICET–2025), with a total of 90.83 per cent of candidates qualified. The results were announced by TGCHE Chairman, Prof V Balakista Reddy, TGCHE Vice-Chairmen I and II, and Professor Aluvala Ravi, the Convenor of TG ICET-2025, and senior officials on Monday. The online entrance test was conducted, from June 8 to June 9 by MGU, Nalgonda, under the supervision of TSCHE. The test is for admission into MBA and MCA programs for the academic year 2025–26 in the State of Telangana. Out of a total of 71,746 candidates registered, 64,938 appeared for the examination, and 58,985 candidates qualified. This resulted in a total pass percentage of 90.83%. A gender-wise analysis of the results shows that out of the candidates who appeared for the test, 71746 were male, 34412 were female, and one identified as transgender. Of those who qualified, 27,998 were male, 30,986 were female, and one was a transgender person. The minimum qualifying marks for ranking in TG ICET (excluding SC/ST candidates) are 25% of the aggregate marks. However, there are no minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). Mahabubnagar: Chairman of the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) Prof V Balakista Reddy donated Rs 25,000 to Dr Burgula Ramakrishna Rao Government Degree College in Jadcherla during his official visit on Saturday. The amount will be used to develop the college's botanical garden and strengthen its green initiatives. Prof Reddy, who toured the campus, was impressed by the greenery and the institution's efforts in maintaining an eco-conscious environment. He stated that the botanical garden, with some more effort, 'has the potential to be recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.' Later in the day, the TGCHE Chairman also visited the Government Polytechnic College in Mahabubnagar, which functions as an EAPCET Helpline Centre. He reviewed the certificate verification procedures and expressed satisfaction over the student-centric arrangements made for counselling services.
