Beyonce fan left in tears after being 'dehumanized' at Cowboy Carter concert for horrific reason

A visually impaired Beyonce fan was left in tears after she was treated in a 'dehumanizing' way at a recent Cowboy Carter show. Esther Obigbesan revealed she was asked to give up her cane to access the VIP area at one of the singer's performances in London last month, despite having flagged her access needs to staff days beforehand. Ahead of the June 10 show at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Esther – who spent over $650 dollars on her VIP standing ticket - claimed that she had reached out to the providers of the VIP package to make them aware of her needs but never got a response. On the day of the event, she was initially helped into the VIP check-in point and was handed her wristband and merch but was then stopped by security as she tried to access the pit. Speaking to BBC Radio London 's Eddie Nestor, she said: 'They just automatically started talking to the ladies that were with me being like, 'she can't go down there, she can't go down there.'' Although Esther claimed she explained to staff that her cane was a visual aid, she alleged that she was told that they were not permitted in the standing sections of the venue. In the end, she was forced to hand over her cane so that she could enter the area. 'It was more my confidence and my independence… it felt dehumanizing,' she said. Esther was met with further humiliation when she asked a security guard to help her locate the bathrooms. 'When I came out, they'd contacted the safety officer who was trying to relocate me,' she continued. 'They were saying it's not safe for me down there because people won't know I'm visually impaired – I said I could have my cane back.' Esther was then moved to a seated area two levels above where she had originally been placed. 'It's a three-hour show but I barely remember any of it because I was crying so much,' she told the radio show. A Tottenham Hotspur spokesperson apologized for the incident and refunded her ticket. According to the BBC, they also said the experience 'fell far short' of its standards. Many were outraged by Esther's story and voiced their support for her and fellow concertgoers with additional needs. 'This is outrageous.' 'What a terrible experience for this young woman,' another commented. 'That's an outrageous price for a ticket and to be tested with such disrespect is disheartening.' Echoing a similar sentiment, a third agreed and said: 'Awful disability discrimination. You can hear the pain in her voice.' Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a 62,000-capacity venue, hosted all of Beyoncé shows on the British leg of her tour. The tour, officially titled Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit Tour is in support of her album, Cowboy Carter. The all-stadium tour, featuring 32 stadium shows in the U.S. and Europe, began on April 28 in California, and is scheduled to conclude on July 26 in Nevada.

US vice-president JD Vance is set to take a summer break in Scotland with his family

Vice-president JD Vance is set to take a summer break in Scotland with his family, creating another 'security headache' for police. Mr Vance is coming to the Cotswolds next month with his wife and children - but the Mail understands he also intends to come north of the Border. It means police will face the prospect of more protests shortly after Donald Trump 's stay ends next week, piling more pressure on overstretched officers. One source close to the preparations said: 'It is another security headache for the police – another VIP who is likely to trigger protests. 'It won't be quite as big as the Trump operation but it will still be very significant.' Activists have vowed to ruin Mr Vance's Cotswolds family holiday when he visits the place where Trump-hating Ellen DeGeneres now calls home. The Vice-President is set to travel to the idyllic English countryside alongside his wife Usha, 39, and their three children, Ewan Blaine, Vivek and Mirabel, next month. But pro-Palestine activists, eco campaigners and trade unionists have vowed to wreak havoc with planned protests during his stay. The anti-Trump and anti-Vance protests are set to mirror recent demonstrations against Mr Vance during a family holiday to Disneyland. Last week visitors were left outraged after Mr Vance shut down rides so he could enjoy them with his children - and he previously faced protest placards during a skiing holiday in the US state of Vermont in March this year. The Stop Trump Coalition alliance is said to include pro-Palestinian activists, climate campaigners, and trade unions. Mr Vance and his family are expected to arrive in Britain soon after the President's five-day stay in Scotland. The Stop Trump Coalition has outlined plans to greet Mr Trump with banners and flags along roads and a beachside message visible from the sky. Further action is intended for his proposed state visit expected to take place in September. It has signalled similar opposition to Mr Vance's British break, with a spokesman saying: 'We are meeting Trump with protests in Aberdeen and Edinburgh this month, and then in London and Windsor in September. 'JD Vance is every bit as unwelcome in the UK as Donald Trump. 'We remember how Vance cut short his ski trip in Vermont because he was so enraged by the sight of a few protesters. 'We are sure that, even in the Cotswolds, he will find the resistance waiting.' The Vice-President strolled through Disneyland in Los Angeles, California, hand-in-hand with two of his children, Vivek and Mirabel, last Saturday - with a vast Secret Service security detail alongside them. In a speech in February, Mr Vance highlighted an SNP government law banning protest near abortion clinics, which critics said could be used to target people praying in their own homes, as an example of an attack on freedom of speech. Mr Vance claimed people who live within safe access zones had been sent letters by the Scottish Government warning them about praying in their homes. The Scottish Government had insisted that Mr Vance's claim was 'incorrect'.

Food influencers with their LED camera lights at restaurants must be stopped

Let me tell you about something that happened to me. If it sounds familiar, you have my pity. I was at a restaurant in Hong Kong that will remain unnamed. Suffice to say, it is a place I like, but not the kind of place I can visit often unless my landlord starts accepting IOUs. Nestling into the plush, intimate space, I noticed one table was getting quite a lot of attention. A glad-handing session with the chef before any food had been served was enough to confirm that they were Very Important People. Now I am, at best, a Person of Ordinary Importance, and acutely aware of it. Getting special treatment makes me feel like someone's waiting around the corner with a terminal diagnosis or a jury summons. But I do not begrudge the white-glove service for others, as long as it does not affect me or the rest of the hoi polloi. So I thought nothing of it. That is, until their dishes arrived. And out came the cameras. Not the ones we all have in our pockets, mind you. No, these were the kind you have to lug around on a strap, the kind that could inflict head trauma on a Pachycephalosaurus.
