Faculty for rotational headship at PGI

Chandigarh: Faculty members from PGI and AIIMS- Delhi expressed their support for rotational headship through a silent protest, advocating its immediate implementation, a long-standing agenda of both faculty associations. The faculty members participated in the protest in groups after 5pm Tuesday to be heard on National Doctors Day , collectively voicing their support with the slogan, "Ab ki baar, Rotatory paar!" This demonstration followed over three years of concerted efforts by both institutions, including representations to relevant ministries, the expression of support from over 70% of the faculty via communications to the panel set up by the ministry of health to review this matter, and appeals for the implementation of the VK Paul Committee recommendations.
