Enzo Fernandez's partner leads Chelsea WAGs in flocking to the US to cheer on their partners in Club World Cup final as they take in the New York sights before kick off
Chelsea WAGs have descended on New York as their partners prepare for this evening's Club World Cup final. The Blues jetted off to the USA last month to take part in the inaugural edition of FIFA's premier club tournament since it was revamped to include 32 teams. Since then, Enzo Maresca 's side have progressed through the group stages and subsequently defeated the likes of Benfica, Palmeiras and Fluminense to book their place in the final. Their opponents at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday are a PSG side awash with confidence after entering the tournament just one month after being crowned Champions League winners for the first time in their history. Luis Enrique's side have been utterly dominant throughout the Club World Cup, and have conceded just once in their run to the final. Ahead of the landmark clash, a number of Chelsea stars have been joined by their partners as they have taken in the sights and enjoyed some precious downtime between games in the United States. It is understood that many of the group flew out once Chelsea reached the knockout stages as the club held a team bonding BBQ at their Miami base. Since then, a number of the WAGs, including Enzo Fernandez's girlfriend Valentina Cervantes have remained with the group as they moved on to New York to prepare for Sunday's final. On Saturday Cervantes shared a snap of herself watching a Blues training session as Maresca put his finishing touches on the game plan for the clash with Les Parisiens. Meanwhile, the partners of Pedro Neto, Marc Cucurella and Filip Jorgensen took to the streets of the Big Apple to do some sightseeing. Neto's girlfriend, Carolina Cunha e Silva, even donned a baseball jersey adorned with the Portuguese foward's name as the Blues defeated Fluminense. Cole Palmer also took in some of the famous sights, with the England international pictured in full Blues kit atop the famous Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan. Reports suggest that Maresca has offered his players a high degree of freedom throughout the competition. Maintaining professionalism has remained an imperative, but the players have been entrusted to enjoy some downtime following an arduous campaign. In addition, the club are said to have brought in FA staff to organise the team's camp including accommodation and activities for the players' families. Meanwhile Cole Palmer ascended the city's iconic Rockefeller Center for a photoshoot Speaking ahead of the clash with PSG, Maresca revealed he intends on treating the upcoming fixture 'like a chess match' and called Luis Enrique's side, 'the best team in the world'. 'I love to play chess and watch chess,' Maresca explained. 'I feel football is like a game of chess and when the rival makes a move, you have to counteract it and I think this will be like a chess game. 'They [PSG] are a top team in Europe and the world, maybe the best in the world, but every game is different and we will try to do a good game. 'For sure it will be difficult, but all games are difficult. Fluminense beat Inter and they reached the Champions League final; Al Hilal beat Manchester City. 'Botafogo beat PSG in this competition and did a very good job, but our style is different to Botafogo. 'PSG is best team in world and they have showed that in this tournament, showed it in France and in the Champions League. Of course it'll be a difficult game for us, but we are preparing ourselves in best way possible.

Enzo Fernandez's partner opens up on Chelsea star's decision to break off their relationship 'with no warning' and why she gave him a second chance
Enzo Fernandez 's partner Valentina Cervantes has admitted it was a 'difficult decision' to give the Chelsea star a second chance after their shock split last year. Fernandez split from his childhood sweetheart in October last year in a move that reportedly blindsided his 25-year-old influencer partner and mother of his two children. Cervantes had later shared that she still loved the midfielder and wished him nothing but the best. Following the split, Cervantes returned to Argentina with their children Olivia and Benjamin, before flying back to London for New Year together as a family. Fernandez and Cervantes were then spotted kissing and holding hands in the capital to spark suggestions the relationship was back on. She underlined the reconciliation in April by sharing a photo with her Instagram followers of Fernandez in bed in a Madrid hotel room, before joining the Argentine on the pitch after Chelsea's triumph in the Conference League. Cervantes was asked about the split and reconciliation with Fernandez on the the Multitalenttv show 'Don't Think So Much'. 'Second chances always come, generally with anyone. Because we're human beings and we can make mistakes,' Cervantes said when asked why she gave Fernandez a second chance. 'No more third chances, there's no third or fourth. We're doing very well now; we've known each other for a long time. Enzo looks at me now and knows what's going on with me. 'The decision to come back was difficult.' When confirming the split last October, Cervantes said they had agreed to put 'space' between them. The split had reportedly occurred with Fernandez telling her 'from one day to the next' he didn't want to be with her anymore. During the split, Fernandez was linked to Argentine rapper and model Nicki Nicole, but Nicole was quick to refute suggestions that the pair were an item. A bombshell report earlier this year claimed Fernandez had in part reunited with the mother of his children after an Argentina team-mate had made a move on Cervantes during the split. Cervantes was present as Fernandez was sent off in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday Fernandez had also been linked to the model Pampita Ardohain during his time apart from Cervantes. Cervantes revealed she had been contacted directly by the model to dispel the reports, with the 25-year-old declaring rumours had been 'invented' during her time apart from Fernandez. She suggested that the brief split has made her relationship with the Chelsea and Argentina star stronger, while claiming the time apart had changed her. 'You realise a lot of things and appreciate other things a lot more,' Cervantes said. 'Looking back on it today, I loved it, it was good. We came together when we were very young, we never separated. 'I'm not the Valentina I was before the split. If Enzo used to tell me about going on vacation just the two of us, I told him I wouldn't leave the kids alone. Nowadays, I'm more accepting of that. 'Nowadays, I'll let them stay for three days, no more than that, and then I miss them. 'One thing we have is that we don't fight, we never fight, for us, that's key. We already know each other so well.

Enzo Fernandez's partner sends Instagram message after watching Chelsea star win Conference League in Poland - as WAG puts on united front with partner after he broke off relationship 'with no warning'
Enzo Fernandez 's partner Valentina Cervantes shared a message in support of the Chelsea star following the Conference League triumph, just months after their relationship appeared to be over. Fernandez split from his childhood sweetheart in October last year in a move that reportedly blindsided his 24-year-old influencer partner. In subsequent interviews with Argentinean media, Cervantes shared that she still loved the midfielder, and wished him nothing but the best. But months after the news broke, reports suggested that the couple had reunited, with Cervantes and Fernandes allegedly spotted kissing and holding hands in London. Cervantes had previously returned to Argentina with their children Olivia and Benjamin, but flew back to London for New Year together as a family. She underlined the reconciliation last month by sharing a photo with her Instagram followers of Fernandez in bed in a Madrid hotel room. The World Cup winner added the Conference League to his growing list of honours Cervantes was present on Wroclaw in Poland on Wednesday to show support for Fernandez and his Chelsea team-mates against Real Betis in the Conference League final. Fernandez scored the Blues equaliser against the Spanish outfit in the final, heading in a cross from Cole Palmer. Chelsea impressively built on Fernandez's strike with Nicolas Jackson, Jadon Sancho and Moises Caicedo netting to secure a 4-1 victory. Following the trophy lift, Fernandez was joined by Cervantes and their children on the pitch at the Stadion Wroclaw. Cervantes shared a photo of them as a quartet, writing 'one more' in recognition of Fernandez's latest success. She added a separate photo with their two children, adding 'Those who enjoy any stadium, walks, entire games, hot or cold, and I could go on... 'They are everything.' The message appeared to highlight the unit in the relationship, just months after Cervantes have revealed their split. The former law student announced the end of their relationship in late October by writing on Instagram: 'With Enzo, today we decided to put space between us. 'But we will always be family and we will support each other in everything because there are two children in the middle who need a lot of our love for them. 'I know the person and the excellent father that Enzo is, and the heart he has and with that, I'm satisfied. Don't try to create wars where there are none.' In an interview with Argentine newspaper La Nacion in December, where she revealed the New Year family reunion, Cervantes admitted she and Enzo lived and slept together for another 10 days. It followed Fernandez telling her 'from one day to the next' he didn't want to be with her anymore. During the split, Fernandes was linked to Argentine rapper and model Nicki Nicole, but Nicole was quick to refute suggestions that the pair were an item. Throughout the break-up, Cervantes has stressed that she was keen to 'respect' the player's decision to call time on their relationship, despite having come as a shock. 'I think it was a combination of things on his part,' Cervantes said in an interview last year of the end of her relationship. 'He made the decision and I respected it. We have two children together. The 24-year-old influencer is thought to have been blindsided by her partner's decision Cervantes returned to London with the couple's children for New Year's after returning to their mutual home country Argentina 'To this day, we try to have a good relationship, we try to share, so that the kids can continue living together. 'If you ask me what happened, I have nothing specific to tell you. 'I just think that he decided to focus 100 percent on his career, on performing, on finding himself. 'He might not have been at his best as a player and tried to find it. Today, fortunately, things are going well for him. That's why I'm also happy.' A bombshell report earlier this year claimed Fernandez had in part reunited with the mother of his children after an Argentina team-mate had made a move on Cervantes during the split.
