ISRO Chairman prays at Chengalamma temple

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman V. Narayanan offered prayers at the famous Sri Chengala Parameswari temple (also called as Chengalamma temple) in Sullurpeta town of Tirupati district on Tuesday. The temple at Sullurpeta is considered the gateway to Sriharikota island, where the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) is located. It has been a practice for the ISRO authorities to visit this temple ahead of satellite launches and pray for the success of the ensuing missions. On their arrival at the temple, Mr. Narayanan and his team of ISRO officials were received at the threshold by Assistant Commissioner of Endowments and Executive Officer B. Prasanna Lakshmi. After praying at the sanctum sanctorum, the priests showered Vedic hymns (Vedasirvachanam) on the ISRO team, blessing for the mission's success.

VIJAYAWADA: On the auspicious occasion of Ashada Masam, the Bhagyanagar Ummadi Devalaya Committee from Hyderabad offered Bonams, including a Golden Bonam, to Goddess Sri Kanaka Durga at Indrakeeladri on Sunday. Continuing their annual tradition, the committee arrived with a grand procession featuring traditional dances and music, accompanied by hundreds of devotees. The Bonam, a sacred offering made in a pot containing rice, jaggery, curd, and other ingredients, was presented to the Goddess with devotion. Endowments Minister Anam Rama Narayana Reddy and Durga Temple Executive Officer VK Seena Naik welcomed the committee and facilitated a special darshan of the Goddess. The Golden Bonam was offered by the hands of the Minister and temple priests. Around 500 devotees participated in the sacred event, seeking the well-being and prosperity of the Telugu people. Meanwhile, thousands of devotees thronged the temple. Due to the heavy turnout, the Rs 500 special darshan was cancelled. Devotees offering Ashada Sare received Vedasirvachanam and prasadam. Rituals like Suryopasana, Chandi Homam, and Laksha Kunkumarchana were also performed.

Tirumala: Union minister for commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, accompanied by family members, offered prayers to the Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala on Monday. On their arrival, the minister was accorded a grand reception by the TTD chairman B R Naidu, addl EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary and temple priests and was escorted him to the sanctum sanctorum. Inside the sanctum sanctorum, priests explained to the Union minister the significance of the Lord and the jewels adorned to the presiding deity. The Union minister spent a few minutes praying before the presiding deity and later reached Ranganayakula Mandapam where he was accorded Vedasirvachanam by temple priests. TTD chairman and addl EO offered the minister Lord's silk vastram, prasadams and laminated photo of Lord Venkateswara. AP ministers Anagani Satya Prasad, T G Bharat, TTD board members Dr Panabaka Lakshmi, Janga Krishnamurthy, M Santharam, Naresh Kumar, G Bhanuprakash Reddy, temple DyEO Lokanadham, reception officials Bhaskar, Satre Naik and others were present.

Tirupati: Union minister for commerce and industries offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala temple on Monday. Goyal was accompanied by his family members, AP industries minister TG Bharath and revenue minister Anagani Satya Prasad during his visit to the temple. After darshan, Goyal and his family members were accorded Vedasirvachanam by a battery of Vedic scholars at the Ranganayakula Mandapam. TTD chairman and additional EO presented teertha prasadams and a photo momento of Lord Balaji to the minister. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his pilgrimage, Goyal expressed joy over the blissful darshan of the Lord and said that he had prayed for the well being of all the countrymen.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal offered prayers at the temple of Goddess Padmavathi Ammavaru at Tiruchanur here on Monday. After offering prayers at Tirumala, the Union Minister and his wife arrived to a ceremonial reception at the temple by State Minister for Food Processing T.G. Bharat, TTD Joint Executive Officer V. Veerabrahmam, Tirupati District Collector S. Venkateswar and TTD Trust Board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy among others. Mr. Goyal stood in front of the sanctum sanctorum and offered prayers to the deity, believed to be a bestower of fortune and finance. The TTD priests showered Vedic hymns (Vedasirvachanam) on the Goyal family, while the officials presented them 'Ammavari Prasadam'.
