Vikram To Start Filming For Action Thriller Chiyaan64 In September
Chiyaan64, a brutal action thriller, will feature Vikram in an intense avatar like never before. After winning hearts with his role in Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, Chiyaan Vikram has joined forces with filmmaker C Prem Kumar for his next film. Tentatively titled Chiyaan64, the film marks the first collaboration between Vikram and the director, known for his work in 96 and Meiyazhagan, has been creating buzz ever since made official. According to the fresh updates, Chiyaan64 will see the actor in a ruthless role. Cinema Vikatan reported that Chiyaan64, a brutal action thriller, will feature the Thangalaan actor in an intense avatar like never before. In another thrilling update, the film is set to go on floors in August or September 2025. While more details about the shoot have been kept under wraps, the screenplay by Prem Kumar himself has reportedly impressed Vikram. It has been reported that Vikram will begin shooting for his 63rd film after completing the Prem Kumar project. Meanwhile, Prem Kumar is also planning a sequel to 96 with Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan. However, he will start working on the romance drama after wrapping Vikram's film. Coming back to Chiyaan Vikram, the actor was last seen in a lead role in the neo-noir actioner titled Veera Dheera Sooran: Part – 2. The movie, directed by SU Arun Kumar, follows the story of a former henchman, Kaali, who steps in to help his old boss, trying to pacify a police officer. Things take an interesting turn after Kaali is compelled to choose between his boss and his family. Alongside Vikram, the film featured SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan and more in key roles. It is available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Dhanush begins 'D54' shooting after pooja ceremony, see pics here
Actor Dhanush has started the shooting of his movie tentatively titled 'D54' on Friday. It is helmed by 'Por Thionzhil' director Vignesh Raja . The makers of 'D54' shared pictures from the pooja ceremony of the film, which was attended by the lead cast, director, and the movie's crew. The 'Asuran' director Vetrimaaran also attended the event. Taking to their Instagram handle, Vels Film International (official production banner of film) shared a series of snaps from the pooja ceremony, which also included a clapboard with 'Pooja' inscribed on it. Dhanush, producer Dr Ishari K Ganesh, and director Vignesh Raja posed with the D54 poster for the pictures at the pooja ceremony. While sharing the photos, the makers wrote, "The much-awaited journey starts off. #D54 starring @dhanushkraja - Shoot begins today with a pooja. Produced by @ @VelsFilmIntl. A film by @vignesh_raja." The music of the film will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar. Dhanush has recently wrapped up the shooting of 'Raanjhanaa's spiritual sequel 'Tere Isk Mein', which is directed by Aanand L Rai and stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role along with 'Asuran' actor. The film is written by long-time collaborator Himanshu Sharma and features music by AR Rahman with lyrics by Irshad Kamil . The film is slated to release in theatres on November 28, 2025. Dhanush was recently seen in the film 'Kuberaa', which also starred Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The film received positive reviews and was a box office success.

D54: Dhanush begins filming for Vignesh Raja's next, check out FIRST look
Actor Dhanush is on a roll. As he continues to fly high in the success of his latest release Kuberaa, he is ready to focus on his next. In fact, his pipeline is filled with one after another interesting films. He has now begun filming for Vignesh Raja's upcoming film, tentatively titled D54. Vignesh Raja's team officially began the film shoot on Thursday. Announcing the same, the makers dropped the first look poster, a sweet treat to the fans. The poster shows Dhanush standing in a field engulfed in flames at one end, setting the tone for the film. Sharing the first poster of D54, the makers wrote, 'Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive. #D54 starring @dhanushkraja - On floors from today. Produced by @IshariKGanesh @VelsFilmIntl. A film by @vigneshraja89 A @gvprakash Musical.' D54 is touted to be a survival drama with a twisted plot. Besides Dhanush, the film cast is yet to be announced. There's been considerable buzz around the rest of the cast of D54. As per reports, Mamitha Baiju has been roped in as the female lead, opposite Dhanush. However, an official confirmation from the makers is still awaited. Other names that are being speculated to be part of the project include Jayaram and Suraj Venjaramoodu. But as of now, these reports remain unverified. The Tamil film is directed by Vignesh Raja who is best known for the Tamil movie, Por Thozhil. The film is backed by Ishari K Ganesh. It is being bankrolled by Vels International. The film music is helmed by Prakash Kumar. Meanwhile, Dhanush is set to reunite with his Raanjhanaa director Aanand L. Rai for an upcoming Bollywood film. Titled as Tere Ishk Mein, the film will see Dhanush with Kriti Sanon for the first time. Recently, Dhanush wrapped up the film shoot. After the filming, the team of Tere Ishk Mein, including Dhanush, Kriti and Aanand, were seen enjoying an after-party. They were also joined by actor Mrunal Thakur.
