Time is running out to save on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 launch Friday, July 25th. That's soon! Even if you're not the type of person who usually pre-orders things, there's good reason to consider doing it before then. The biggest perk is that you'll get upgraded to the 512GB version of either device without paying the usual $119.99 premium, and trade-in values will be better before the launch versus after. The ability to get more for less expires at the end of tomorrow, July 24th. As you might expect, each retailer and carrier is doing things a little bit differently with pre-orders. Of all your options, buying directly through Samsung may be the way to go. If you have a trade-in, you can save about half off your new device. If you aren't trading up, you can instantly get $350 in Samsung credit to buy a Galaxy Watch 8, or something else. My colleague Allison Johnson recently published her review of the Z Fold 7. Its biggest flaw is just how darn expensive it is, costing $1,999.99 for those who aren't trading or taking advantage of a carrier promotion. If you can get past that (hopefully, you find a deal that works for you), this is as polished as foldable phones come these days. Stay tuned for her review of the Z Flip 7. It costs a pretty penny, but the Z Fold 7 is Samsung's finest foldable yet. When it's closed it's basically the size of a regular phone, so the big 8-inch inner screen feels like it's all upside. Sony's 30th Anniversary DualSense Controller is back in stock online at 10AM ET

Sony will have a 'limited restock' of its 30th Anniversary DualSense Wireless Controller on the PlayStation Direct storefront. The $79.99 gamepad is available for preorder starting July 21st at 10AM ET for PlayStation Plus subscribers and on July 23rd at 10AM ET for everyone else. It will begin shipping on September 9th. If you want to order today, a PlayStation Plus Essential subscription costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year. The 30th Anniversary DualSense Wireless Controller is a fully-functional gamepad with the same colors as the original PlayStation console released in December of 1994. The limited-edition PlayStation 5 controller was released last year to commemorate the launch of the original PlayStation in December of 1994. Its outer shell and buttons feature the same color scheme as Sony's original console and peripherals, and the 'PS' button matches the multicolor logo Sony used at that time. However, it's a fully functional DualSense Controller, with the same features as a non-limited edition gamepad. In addition to the DualSense, the UK and Canadian PlayStation stores are also restocking the 30th Anniversary PlayStation Portal and PS5 Digital Bundle, which were part of last year's campaign. Twelve South's travel-friendly 2-in-1 Qi2 charger is over 50 percent off right now

Keeping multiple devices charged while traveling usually means packing several wall warts and cables. Thanks to the clever design of the Twelve South Butterfly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 Charger, however, you can power two Qi2-compatible devices with a single, compact accessory. Best of all, the foldable charger is now on sale at Amazon and Best Buy starting at $40.99 ($59 off), which is the lowest price we've seen. The Butterfly SE features two soft-touch charging discs, one that delivers up to 15W for your phone and another that provides up to 5W for your smartwatch. The two discs are connected by a flexible strap, and they snap together magnetically for travel, folding down to roughly the size of an AirPods Pro case. The versatile charger can also fold into a stand, allowing you to display the iPhone in StandBy mode, which transforms the device into a bedside clock or photo frame. Each purchase comes with a color-coordinated woven USB-C cable, though it doesn't include a wall adapter. For this kit to work, you'll need a 30W charger (this one from Anker is currently down to $12.29 at Amazon). Twelve South also offers an aluminum version of the Butterfly, which is also on sale for $79.99 ($50 off) at Amazon. Build quality aside, the so-called Butterfly 2-in-1 MagSafe Charger is essentially the same thing, but it includes the necessary 30W power adapter and four international adapters. Every Best Buy store will have Nintendo Switch 2 consoles on July 17th

It's been over a month since the Switch 2's record-breaking launch, and the console is becoming easier to get with each restock. However, if you've been waiting for the launch of Donkey Kong Bananza to buy one, Best Buy sneakily announced that its next in-store restock will happen Thursday, July 17th, the game's launch day. Every Best Buy location will have consoles in stock. Best Buy's in-store restock announcement doesn't mention whether both the standalone console ($449.99) and Mario Kart World bundle ($499.99) will be available, or if one will be available in higher quantities than the other. It only states that stores will have 'limited quantities.' We've reached out to Best Buy for more specific information, and we'll update this story if we receive a response. If you prefer shopping online, you can request an invite to order the Nintendo Switch 2 console and Mario Kart World bundle at Amazon. If you're on the fence about getting a Switch 2, read our review. Sign up for Verge Deals to get deals on products we've tested sent to your inbox weekly.

Google's Pixel 8 Pro is $599, and includes a free Pixel Watch 2

The Pixel 9A is a tempting phone for $499, but even more tempting is the 128GB Pixel 8 Pro, which is selling for $599 unlocked right now at the Google Store. Its perks are well worth the extra $100. You're getting a more robust camera system (the 5x telephoto lens is very good) and better build quality. Not only that, Google is including a free Pixel Watch 2 with LTE, along with one of its phone cases. The Pixel 8 Pro launched in late 2023, meaning it has just a little over five years of OS updates left before it's no longer supported. In other words, there's plenty of life left in this phone. This model has a 120Hz refresh rate OLED screen that can go down to 1Hz with its always-on display to save battery life. You'll be glad to have the free case, as the Pixel 8 Pro's back glass is matte-textured, which Verge reviewer Allison Johnson found made it more slippery to hold, not less. Read our review.
