He began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Seahawks from North Carolina State in 2022. Jones played seven games with the Bucs last season and was inactive with the Cardinals for the final game of the regular season. In Tampa Bay, he played 55 defensive snaps (12 percent) and 124 (64 percent) on special teams. He had six tackles (three solo) on defense with a forced fumble and had three special-teams tackles (two solo) and another forced fumble. Vi Jones 2025 contract details, cap hit Jones' base salary and salary-charge this season is $1.03 million. The contract has no guaranteed money. 2025 questions, roster outlook Jones is a long shot to earn a spot on the 53-man roster because of the depth at linebacker, but it's possible he could land a job on the practice squad. Next up is linebacker Vi Jones. 2024 Vi Jones stats, season The brother of Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones, who is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent on March 12, Vi began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks in 2022. Last season, he played seven games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, three after being elevated from the practice squad and four after being signed to the active roster. The Bucs were expected to add him back to the practice squad when he was waived on Dec. 28, the day before their Week 17 game against the Carolina Panthers, but the Cardinals claimed him on Monday. He was inactive for the final game of the 2024 season.
