Airdrie & Shotts MSP Neil Gray is encouraging local organisations which support victims of crime to apply for a share of over £700,000.
The call comes ahead of the August 4 deadline for applications to the Scottish Government's Victim Surcharge Fund.
Since its launch in 2019, the fund has supported more than 5000 victims of crime across Scotland, including in Airdrie and Shotts, with over £2.4 million awarded to 18 frontline organisations.
The funding can be used for essentials such as food, clothing, bedding, emergency accommodation and emotional support for those affected by crime.
The fund is financed through penalties imposed on offenders, ensuring that those responsible for harm contribute to the recovery and support of their victims.
Mr Gray said: "This funding is a lifeline, administered by the SNP Scottish Government, for organisations doing crucial work to support people who've experienced trauma, loss and hardship as a result of crime.
"I urge local charities and community groups across Airdrie and Shotts to take advantage of this opportunity and apply before the deadline on August 4.
"The application process is straightforward, and the support this fund enables, from clothing and food to safe accommodation, can make a real and immediate difference in people's lives."
