Man arrested after pedestrian hit by car in Leicester
A man has been arrested after a pedestrian was hit by a car in were called to Victoria Park Road, between the Welford Road and London Road junction, just after 00:15 BST on pedestrian - a man in his 30s - was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, said Leicestershire Police. A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in custody, the force added.
The road remains closed while police inquiries are urged to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
