From ‘Vincenzo' to ‘Our Movie': every K-drama and movie to watch if you're a Jeon Yeo-been fan

'Dark Nuns' (2025) In this spin-off of the popular Korean supernatural horror movie The Priests , Song Hye-kyo and Jeon Yeo-been are two nuns fighting to save the soul of Choi Hee-joon (Moon Woo-jin), a young man possessed by a powerful and malevolent spirit. In the film, Jeon Yeo-been's Sister Mikaela starts out a sceptic and, like Father Paul (Lee Jin-uk), believes there's a psychological explanation to Hee-joon's condition. But Sister Yunia's (Song Hye-kyo) unwavering faith, coupled with Sister Mikaela's own childhood experiences of the supernatural, gradually convinces her of the demonic presence and compels her to join the desperate fight to save Hee-joon. Don't miss: 6 iconic Song Hye-Kyo K-dramas you need to watch 'A Time Called You' (2023) In this time-slip, body-swap South Korean remake of the beloved Taiwanese drama Some Day or One Day , Jeon Yeo-been showcases her versatility by playing two distinct roles: the painfully shy and withdrawn Kwon Min-ju, and the confident, outgoing Han Jun-hee. Audiences were blown away by how she brought each character to life through subtle shifts in physicality, voice, demeanour and facial expressions, and how effortlessly she switched between the two. Her genuine chemistry with co-star Ahn Hyo-seop brought the relationship of their characters—the heart of the story—into sharp focus and grounded the more fantastical elements of the drama in something audiences could relate to. 'Night in Paradise' (2021) Further showcasing her versatility, Jeon Yeo-been followed up her turn as the cheeky lawyer Hong Cha-young from Vincenzo with her role as the world-weary and terminally ill Jae-yeon in the neo-noir crime film Night in Paradise . In the movie, Jae-yeon, resigned to her fate, is melancholic and apathetic. But when she meets Park Tae-gu (Uhm Tae-goo), a gang member on the run from people looking to kill him, she recognises a kindred spirit. The two bond and, in each other, find a brief reprieve from their despair. When Tae-gu's life of crime finally catches up with him, and he is brutally murdered, Jae-yeon takes it upon herself to exact a chilling revenge, finding her ultimate purpose in this final act of retribution. 'Vincenzo' (2021) By the time Vincenzo came out, Jeon Yeo-been had already starred in several K-dramas and movies, but it was her role as the quirky lawyer Hong Cha-young opposite Song Joong-ki's Vincenzo that made her a household name. A certified global hit, it introduced her to a wider audience. The role required her to pivot between physical comedy, romance and crime thriller—a challenge she embraced with enthusiasm and confidence. Throwing herself completely into the role, she impressed fans with her commitment. Meanwhile, her natural onscreen chemistry with Song Joong-ki fuelled a slow-burn romance that had viewers completely hooked. 'Be Melodramatic' (2019) In this slice-of-life K-drama about three friends navigating friendships, careers and romantic entanglements in their 30s, Jeon Yeo-been plays Lee Eun-jung, a successful documentary director trying to come to terms with the sudden death of her boyfriend. Barely coping with the loss, she continues to interact with him as if he were still alive. It's only with time and the unconditional support of her friends that Eun-jung slowly begins to navigate her grief and find a way to live with her loss. Jeon delivers a quietly powerful performance that captures the emotional weight of someone whose grief is buried so deep beneath the surface, it's hardly perceptible. Her portrayal of Eun-jung's emotional breakthrough is handled with grace and nuance, making it both cathartic and heartbreaking.

Is Vincenzo season 2 releasing in July 2025? Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on June 30, 2025, 01:20 IST Last updated June 30, 2025, 01:41 IST It's been over four years since Vincenzo wrapped up its explosive first season in May 2021, and let's be honest — fans still aren't over it. The iconic South Korean drama, starring Song Joong-ki as the stylish, mafia-raised lawyer Vincenzo Cassano, left a lasting impact with its unique mix of dark humour, brutal action, and just the right dose of slow-burn romance. Since then, rumours of a second season have only gotten louder, especially with whispers suggesting a July 2025 return. So is it happening? Here's everything we know so far. Is There a Confirmed Release Date for Vincenzo Season 2? As of June 30, 2025, here's the truth: there's no official confirmation of a Vincenzo Season 2, not from Netflix, and not from South Korea's tvN network, which originally aired the show. That rumoured July 2025 release date? Looks like it's just fan speculation for now. What Might Season 2 Have in Store? No green light yet, but that doesn't stop the fandom from dreaming big. The Season 1 finale left Vincenzo as a vigilante boss, ready for new battles. Here's what's swirling in fan chats and X threads for a potential Season 2: Bigger, Badder Foes : After crushing Babel Group, Vincenzo could face a global crime syndicate or an old rival from his Italian mafia days. Think more mind-bending schemes and epic fights. Cha-young and Vincenzo's Sparks : Their flirty banter was pure fire. A new season could crank up the romance, maybe with some drama to shake things up. Geumga Plaza Chaos : The quirky tenants—piano guy, pawnshop boss, and the rest—brought the laughs. Picture them diving into fresh antics or backing Vincenzo's next mission. Secrets from Italy: Hints of Vincenzo's mafia past left fans curious. Could old enemies or allies show up to stir the pot? These are just spicy guesses, but the open-ended finale offers endless possibilities. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . ‘Song Joong Ki, did you hear that?' Yoo Jae Suk admits they drifted apart after his marriage: ‘it's awkward now'

Yoo Jae Suk believes his friendship with Song Joong Ki has changed ever since the latter got remarried, and it has since been awkward reaching out to him. In the latest episode of his YouTube talk show Pinggyego, Yoo hosted singer Lee Hyori as a guest. Together, they discussed a lot of things, including Lee's dream collaborations and new shows, but when the singer mentioned the Vincenzo star, the conversation took a personal turn. Meanwhile, Song has been less active in the industry lately, with fewer TV shows and projects. His upcoming K-drama My Youth is scheduled for a 2025 release. Yoo then joked, 'Why hasn't he come on Pinggyego yet?' and turned to the camera to tease Song Joong Ki: 'Joong Ki, did you hear that? Hyori-noona is calling you out.' But then the host revealed that their friendship has become distant lately. 'We used to contact each other from time to time, but after his marriage and everything, it feels a bit awkward to contact him now,' he said. To which Hyori responded, calming the tone, 'I also couldn't do programs with Yoo Jae-suk after getting married, and I haven't been able to contact him often either.' But Yoo then explained that with Joong Ki now married and raising two kids, he feels hesitant to bother him. 'His life has changed completely,' he added. The host said he didn't want to interrupt his busy schedule either. She said she's been messaging people on Instagram because she doesn't have their phone numbers, and one of those people is BIGBANG member G-Dragon. 'I messaged G-Dragon and suggested we meet, but it hasn't happened yet. He replied and said he was interested in doing something together for this album,' Hyori said, hinting at a possible collaboration. Hyori added that she feels they have something in common and said, 'He talked about how, even after achieving fame and money, he still feels empty sometimes. I could relate to that. I have a great husband, but that emptiness doesn't have a clear reason.' Yoo Jae Suk responded proudly, 'You did all that without even knowing him personally? That's impressive.' As for Song Joong Ki, he confirmed his relationship with Katy Louise Saunders in late 2022. The announcement itself was no less than a shock to fans and the industry, as the actor revealed they had already registered their marriage and were expecting their first child. Upon returning to South Korea, he was instantly met with backlash and which emerged from rumours and public scrutiny surrounding the time he was married to his Descendants of the Sun co-star Song Hye Kyo. There were also baseless claims about his wife Katy being a single mother before their marriage. Song Joong Ki publicly expressed his anger and frustration over these 'unbelievable' and 'ridiculous' rumours. Their first child was born in June 2023, and the second in November 2024. The family currently lives in Italy. Katy herself is an actor with British and Colombian roots and grew up in Italy.
