However, his words have not translated into actions as talks to extend his contract have stalled, and there is currently no agreement in sight. Renewal bonus at the centre of the dispute There has been much speculation about the reasons behind the stalled negotiations, but the reality is that neither Florentino Perez nor Jose Angel Sanchez are pleased with Vinicius' demand for a renewal bonus, as per reports relayed by Defensa Central. (Photo by) As per the update, Vinicius is asking for a salary package of €30 million to place him on the same wage tier as Kylian Mbappe, who received a signing bonus because his transfer did not cost Madrid anything. Real Madrid president Perez does not agree with the idea of paying a renewal bonus to a player already on the club's payroll. However, he is offering the Brazilian attacker the maximum salary currently paid by the club. The report further states that Real Madrid plan to have a face-to-face conversation with Vinicius upon his return from holiday. The aim is to convince him that his future lies at the Santiago Bernabeu, but also to stress that his performance must improve, ideally returning to the level he showed during the 2023/2024 season.

We'll take a look at the shooting in France and the burning of an effigy of a Black player in Spain, which all took place within the same week as an anti-immigration riot in Northern Ireland. Then we will examine the plight faced by teachers in the U.S. who focus on diversity or gender studies, and end with the ongoing legal dispute between a financial watchdog and a mortgage lending company over allegations of racial discrimination. The shooting in France A 45-year-old Tunisian barber Hichem Miraoui was shot by his neighbour at his home in the south of France late in May while chatting on the phone with his mother and sisters. The shooter, Christophe Belgembe, also shot Miraoui's Kurdish neighbour, Akif Badur, in the hand, according to France's anti-terror prosecutor's office, known as PNAT. Belgembe surrendered to police a few hours later and confessed, the PNAT said. His lawyer did not respond to a request for comment. He posted four videos on Facebook saying that the state was "unable to protect us, unable to send them home", that he had "taken out two or three pieces of shit" and this was only the beginning. Madrid court jails 4 radical fans for racially abusing Vinicius Jr
Four individuals have received suspended prison sentences from a Madrid court after being found guilty of a hate crime involving a racist display against Vinicius Jr. Real Madrid announced the news via a lengthy statement on Monday, June case stems from an incident in January 2023, when a banner reading 'Madrid hates Real' and an inflatable black effigy wearing a replica of Vinicius' No.20 jersey were hung from a bridge ahead of a Copa del Rey match between Real Madrid and Atletico to the court ruling, one of the defendants received a 15-month sentence for committing a hate crime, along with an additional seven months for making threats after posting images of the act online. The remaining three individuals were each sentenced to seven months for hate crimes and another seven months for threats. Despite the convictions, none of the four will serve time in prison after signing a formal letter of apology addressed to Vinicius Jr., Real Madrid, LaLiga, and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).LaLiga stated that the individual who distributed the video online has also been barred from working in education, sports, or youth-related activities for four years and three months. The other three received bans of three years and seven months from similar addition, the first defendant was fined 1,084 ($1,250), while the other three were fined 720 each. All four are subject to a restraining order requiring them to stay at least 1,000 meters away from Vinicius Jr., his residence, and his workplace. They are also banned from attending football stadiums during matches organized by LaLiga or the maintain the suspension of their prison terms, all four must complete an educational program focused on equality and revealed that the defendants have acknowledged their actions, expressed remorse, and publicly apologised. Each has been found guilty of a hate crime and another of threatening Vinicius criminal sentence adds to the several already handed down in recent months for racist insults received by Real Madrid CF players at the Zorrilla (Valladolid), Mestalla (Valencia), Son Moix (Palma de Mallorca), and Vallecas (Madrid) stadiums, including on digital forums. In total, fourteen people have now been criminally convicted for racist attacks against Real Madrid players.
