Roman Reigns set for WWE SummerSlam 2025? Here's who he might battle on his return
Image via WWE Roman Reigns 's last appearance on WWE television programming came on the RAW after WrestleMania 41. The Tribal Chief was taken out of commission by Seth Rollins and his new accomplice, Bron Breakker. Since that night, he has been absent from TV while being spotted in outside appearances. However, in a new update by WrestleVotes, it was stated that Reigns will make his return before SummerSlam. The report stated, "Roman Reigns is set to return to WWE before SummerSlam. Preparations for his comeback have already begun, including merchandising and marketing efforts." With The OTC's return reportedly on the horizon, here are three opponents that he could face at the Biggest Party of the Summer this year: 3. Bron Breakker During Roman Reigns' last televised appearance in WWE, he was destroyed by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker, both of whom cemented their alliance with Reigns' former Wiseman, Paul Heyman. It can be expected that he would go after them, but Rollins would ask his cohort to take care of The OTC. This would set up a huge 'Spear vs Spear' match at SummerSlam, while also being the biggest match to date for the rising career of Breakker, who could produce a hard-hitting match against Reigns. 2. CM Punk CM Punk has called out Roman Reigns on numerous occasions ever since he came back to WWE in 2023. This could see Reigns going after Punk after returning, blaming him for the tensions between Heyman and himself that prevailed, setting the stage for their epic clash at WWE SummerSlam this year. 1. Seth Rollins The one true blockbuster match for Roman Reigns at this year's history making SummerSlam would be against none other than his most storied rival in WWE, Seth "Freakin" Rollins. The Visionary is on his most powerful run in the company and snatched Reigns' trusted companion, Paul Heyman, at WrestleMania 41. As mentioned, he also took him out on the RAW after Mania and has been firing shots at him. WWE SmackDown results: LA Knight calls out Seth Rollins, receives a warning from Paul Heyman
WWE SmackDown results: LA Knight opened the June 20 episode of WWE SmackDown, which was held in LA Grand Rapids, with a fiery promo in which he called out Seth Rollins. He was soon interrupted by Paul Heyman, The Visionary's Wiseman. This set the stage for a confrontation between 'The Megastar' and Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, who are part of Seth Rollins' faction. LA Knight fends off Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed LA Knight, who is involved in a bitter feud with Seth Rollins' faction, opened SmackDown with a promo in which he detailed his issues with the former Shield member. He then called him out to settle their differences in the ring. He was, however, interrupted by Paul Heyman. The WWE Hall of Famer asked him to leave the arena to prevent 'something bad' from happening to him. Knight responded by threatening to beat him up. Heyman then appeared to retreat but was soon joined by Breakker and Reed. The powerhouses assaulted 'The Megastar'. Knight, however, turned the tables by nailing them with a chair. This forced 'The Paul Heyman Guys to retreat'. Later, GM Nick Aldis booked a match between Reed and Knight.

CM Punk leaves Seth Rollins laid out in stunning WWE RAW return moment
CM Punk made his shocking return to RAW and went straight after his heated rival, Seth "Freakin" Rollins. Seth "Freakin" Rollins had his Wiseman, Paul Heyman, manipulate Main Event Jey Uso into putting his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against him. However, the return of his heated foe, CM Punk, shattered those plans, who came to Omaha this week for some revenge. CM Punk made his return to RAW this week The opening segment of Monday Night RAW this week saw Paul Heyman confronting Jey Uso in the ring. The Wiseman launched a verbal rant on the Universe for calling him a scumbag and the man to betray CM Punk and Roman Reigns. Following a verbal explosion, Heyman said that Seth Rollins has to be the World Champion and goaded Jey Uso into putting his title on the line against him. The YEET man offered to do it this week itself and the match was made official. It was set to be the main event of the show with Rollins and Uso delivering an exciting showdown that captivate the audience in attendance. Towards the end, Bron Breakker tried to run interfere, however, Sami Zayn came from the crowd to neutrilize his threat. However, Breakker was able to put him away and also deliver a spear to Jey Uso on the outside of the ring. He then sent Jey into the ring and Seth Rollins got the opportunity to hit the Pedigree. Just as the Revolutionary was closing in on the victory, CM Punk's music hit and The Best in the World came out with a chair. He first took out Bron Breakker on the entrance ramp and then headed to the ring to attack Rollins with the chair as well. The Visionary managed to get out of the ring as he regrouped with Breakker and Heyman on the entrance ramp.
