'Beauty Empire' is the no. 1 show on Viu Philippines on its pilot week
'Beauty Empire' is officially the no. 1 show on Viu Philippines! GMA Public Affairs announced on social media that the series officially took the top spot on the streaming service on the week it premiered on GMA Prime on July 7. Directed by Mark Dela Cruz, 'Beauty Empire' dives deep into the rivalries and high-stakes drama among powerful women as they navigate the beauty industry driven by ambition, revenge, and power. The show stars Barbie Forteza, Kyline Alcantara, Sid Lucero, Sam Concepcion, Chai Fonacier, Ruffa Gutierrez, Gloria Diaz, and South Korean actor Choi Bo Min. Isabelle Daza's son, Baltie, recreated his grandma Gloria Diaz's iconic Miss Universe preliminaries answer. On Instagram, Isabelle uploaded a clip of Baltie eating rice and barbecue using his hands. Isabelle asked him, 'Baltie, is it true that Filipinos eat with their hands?' 'Why? Do you eat with your feet?' the little boy answered, referencing his grandma's iconic answer in the Miss Universe 1969 preliminary round. 'Baltie is so proud to be Pinoy,' Isabelle wrote in the caption. 'When your grandmother has iconic comebacks.' Isabelle and her husband, Adrien Semblat, welcomed Baltie in 2018. He was followed by Valentin in 2021 and Esmeralda in 2023. Barbie Forteza, Kyline Alcantara face off in 'Beauty Empire' teaser
The heat is on in 'Beauty Empire'! The upcoming GMA Network, Viu Philippines, and CreaZion Studios series just dropped a new teaser and it is already intense. Barbie Forteza, who plays Noreen Alfonso, is shown at a photoshoot. Seconds later, Kyline Alcantara, who plays Shari De Jesus, comes up and tells her, 'Hello, CEO ng mga hindi gaganda.' Noreen claps back, 'Andito pala ang self-proclaimed CEO.' Shari then throws water at Noreen, and Noreen pulls her hair. They then throw flowers and eyeshadow at each other. The ladies are stopped by Velma Imperial, played by Ruffa Gutierrez. Before the teaser ends, Barbie says, 'Simula na ng pinaka magandang laban.' "Beauty Empire" is produced by GMA Public Affairs, based on the original concept by CreaZion Studios. It dives deep into the intense rivalries and high-stakes drama among powerful women as they navigate the beauty industry driven by ambition, revenge, and power. It is set to premiere soon on Viu before debuting on GMA Network. Aside from Barbie, Kyline, and Ruffa, 'Beauty Empire' also stars Choi Bo Min, Aaron Maniego, Gloria Diaz, Chai Fonacier, Sam Concepcion, and Sid Lucero.
