WWE Confirms New Roman Reigns Nickname
Roman Reigns is the 1 again. Reigns made his return during the closing segment on Monday's WWE RAW after CM Punk beat Bron Breakker to earn a WWE World title match at SummerSlam. The scene in the ring turned into chaos, as Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker attacked both Punk and Jey Uso, who tried to make the save. Advertisement Roman Reigns walked down to the ring and promptly saved the day, making his first appearance on WWE TV since the night after WrestleMania 41. Fans might have noticed that Reigns was wearing a new shirt that featured his RR logo in a circle and TC1. This has now been confirmed as 'OTC1,' which will be his new nickname moving forward. WWE Shop has a new 'OTC1 Collection' of merchandise, which includes two shirts, gloves, and a Tribal Chief Championship. This name was first reported as being workshopped by @WrestleVotes earlier this month. Sources claimed that OTC1 was how Reigns would be marketed to hype his in-ring return, which is expected at SummerSlam. Who will Roman Reigns feud with? It's unclear what Roman Reigns' plans at SummerSlam are right now. Based on Monday night's events, it's speculated that he could work against Bron Breakker or Bronson Reed. However, WWE has not confirmed any plans for Reigns at this time. Multiple title matches were confirmed for SummerSlam on Monday night. Musician Jelly Roll's tag team match was also confirmed on Friday's episode of SmackDown. Advertisement Last week, Paul Heyman called Reigns out on RAW, claiming that Reigns didn't have the balls to come back and step up against his new stable. Well, Reigns called that bluff and returned to save the day. Now we just have to wait and see who he steps in the ring with at SummerSlam. Check out everything that went down on WWE RAW here. Roman Reigns commented on his return after the show. Paul Heyman did too, although Heyman's remarks were a little more heated than the OTC1's statement. Roman Reigns Tribal Chief Championship Revealed
Roman Reigns never held a custom championship during his last title run. However, there were plans for the OTC to get a custom-made 'Tribal Chief Championship.' Reigns solidified his run as the Tribal Chief by beating Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules match on WWE RAW's Netflix premiere back in January. After the match, Roman got The Rock's endorsement as the face of the Anoa'i family. Advertisement WrestleVotes had reported back in December that WWE had discussed introducing a physical championship into the storyline between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa. However, the pitch got scrapped. Despite those plans being cancelled, WWE debuted the Tribal Chief Championship as a commemorative item that fans could buy. WWEShop is now selling a new 'OTC1 Collection' of merchandise, which includes two shirts, gloves, and a Tribal Chief Championship. The OTC1 name is now Reigns' new nickname that will be used on WWE programming. WrestleVotes noted that Reigns would've received this custom title 'had that decision gone through back in December.' As for the price, fans can get the replica Tribal Chief Championship for a whopping $600. Roman Reigns made his WWE return last night on RAW Roman Reigns made his televised comeback on this week's episode of WWE RAW. The OTC made quick work of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed before having a staredown with CM Punk inside the ring. Advertisement For those unaware, Punk won the RAW gauntlet main event to earn a World Heavyweight Championship match against Gunther at WWE SummerSlam 2025. As for Reigns, it seems Triple H has plans for the 'OTC1' to team with Jey Uso against Breakker and Reed. However, WWE has not confirmed those plans as of yet. WWE drops new CM Punk ‘Punk Life' merchandise after John Cena parody on SmackDown
CM Punk confronted John Cena on Friday's SmackDown, possibly for the final time, ahead of their Undisputed WWE Championship match at Night of Champions. Punk appeared dressed as Cena's 2005 'Doctor of Thuganomics' persona, delivering a rap that mocked the 17-time world champion. While opinions on the segment are mixed, WWE wasted no time turning the moment into merchandise. Advertisement After SmackDown, WWE Shop launched two new CM Punk shirts in a collection called 'Punk Life,' a nod to Cena's 'Thug Life' slogan from the mid-2000s. One shirt features the phrase in the style of the original WrestleMania logo, while the other highlights a large, boxy 'P' reminiscent of WWE's 1980s logo. Each pays tribute to Cena's early rap gimmick when he wore throwback gear as part of his presentation. CM Punk's 'Punk Life' collection is now available at WWE's online store. One week after mocking Punk by recreating his infamous 2011 Pipe Bomb promo, Cena addressed fans during SmackDown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He called Punk a loser and said the result of their match at Night of Champions was a formality, adding that there was nothing Punk could do about it. Moments after Cena's speech, his old 'Basic Thuganomics' entrance theme hit. The screen flashed 'Punk Life' as Punk emerged wearing an old-school Chicago Cubs jersey, a Chicago Bulls cap, a padlock chain, and rings reading 'Drug Free' — a full throwback to Cena's original gimmick, reimagined with Punk's straight-edge twist. Advertisement 'Don't adjust your television set; your eyes are working just right. This clown plagiarized my Pipe Bomb, so now I'm stealing Word Life,' Punk declared. Punk tore into Cena's past, mocking everything from his failed relationship with WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella to his bald spot and the 'you can't wrestle' chants that have followed him for years. He likened Cena to Hulk Hogan, 'but somehow more problematic,' before delivering his final punchline: 'Before you go, John, there's one more wish to make: tomorrow night, you're gonna lose to Kendrick 'cause, bitch, you're my Drake.' Punk dropped the mic and celebrated with the crowd, a sharp contrast to earlier in the day when he was booed at the Night of Champions Kickoff show. There, he apologized for a profane message he made in 2020 about The Miz and Saudi Arabia's political regime. Advertisement More from

R-Truth's stunning WWE return leaves fans and stars emotional at Money in the Bank 2025
In one of the most talked-about moments from WWE Money in the Bank 2025, R-Truth made a shock return to the company - just days after announcing his departure. The 53-year-old veteran, now being introduced as Ron Killings, stormed the ring during the main event, attacking John Cena and helping Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso claim victory. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now His return came less than a week after he revealed via social media that WWE would not be renewing his contract. The announcement stunned the wrestling world, sparking an outpouring of support from fellow stars and fans. 'We Want Truth' chants rang out at WWE Raw, SmackDown, and NXT episodes throughout the week, creating a groundswell of emotion. Main event drama steals the show The dramatic interference happened just as Cena was about to pin Rhodes. Out of nowhere, Killings appeared and speared Cena, then clocked him with the title belt. The distraction allowed Rhodes to pin the 16-time world champion. The moment not only shifted the match's outcome but also WWE's storyline momentum. Following the event, new merchandise bearing the name 'Ron Killings' appeared on WWE Shop, hinting at a possible character change. Truth, best known for his comedic timing and charisma, now seems poised for a more serious arc. Money in the Bank Post-Show: June 7, 2025 At the post-show press conference, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H remained vague, simply responding, 'All part of the show,' when asked about Truth's release and return. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes was more candid, telling fans, 'You guys wanted Truth. It's our job to give you what you want.' Backstage emotion and industry speculation RAW interviewer Cathy Kelley got visibly emotional backstage, reflecting on Truth's comeback. 'Since we thought we'd never see him again, this return reminded us why we love this. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now I speak for the entire WWE Universe when I say, welcome back, Truth,' she said. Industry insiders like PWInsider report that WWE and Killings reached a new deal within 72 hours of the PLE. Some insiders even claim that other promotions, including TNA, were eyeing him for a return. Whether Truth continues as a heel or retains elements of his beloved comedic persona remains to be seen. What's certain is that WWE appears to be positioning him for something different this time, perhaps even a character reinvention. Going by his real name, Ron Killings, hints at a more grounded, serious direction that longtime fans haven't seen in years. The fact that WWE moved swiftly to produce merchandise and bring him back at such a high-profile event suggests a long-term creative investment. Fans online have already speculated about potential storylines, including a possible feud with Cena or even a Money in the Bank cash-in assist. Truth's comeback also reflects a growing trend in WWE to listen and react to fan sentiment. Much like recent pivots involving LA Knight and Becky Lynch, the decision to bring back Truth shows that audience reaction can still move the creative needle - even in a scripted business. For now, one thing is clear: the WWE Universe rallied behind him, and the company responded. Ron Killings is back, and perhaps with more purpose than ever before. Also Read:
