Report: Two infants die in Gaza from malnutrition

Two infants have died in the Gaza Strip from severe malnutrition and a shortage of infant formula, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. The infants died at Nasser Hospital in the southern city of Khan Younis and were buried on Thursday evening, Wafa said. Both deaths were linked to a lack of basic nutrition and limited access to medical treatment. Medical officials in Gaza last week warned of a worsening health crisis affecting newborns and infants, citing the continued unavailability of baby formula and essential medicines due to the Israeli siege and war. A premature baby lies in an incubator at Al-Helou Hospital, where doctors say a shortage of specialised formula milk is threatening the lives of newborns, in Gaza City, 25 June 2025 (Reuters)

In the Qalqilya governorate, three people were detained during raids in the city and the village of Far'ata. Soldiers also reportedly dismantled a memorial erected in honour of two Palestinians killed in a previous Israeli operation. In Hebron, six people were detained. Israeli forces kill Palestinian teenager west of Jenin

Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian teenager in the town of al-Yamoun, west of Jenin, Wafa news agency reported on Wednesday, citing local sources. According to the sources, 15-year-old Rayan Tamer Hoshiyah was shot by Israeli soldiers during a military raid on the town. He was subsequently transferred to the al-Yamoun Medical Centre, where he was pronounced dead. Israeli forces stormed the town earlier on Wednesday, firing live ammunition at residents. Wafa said that Hoshiyah's death brought the toll of Palestinians killed in the Jenin governorate since 21 January, the beginning of the Israeli military incursion on Jenin city and its refugee camp, to 39.
