Paris Hilton's $63 million mansion sale helps power LA real estate market
When actor and entrepreneur Mark Wahlberg sold his Beverly Hills mansion in 2023 for $55 million, many brokers said the price was low. Wahlberg had listed the 30,500-square-foot home for $87.5 million but slashed the price in order to close before Los Angeles' looming mansion tax took effect. Perhaps he should have waited. Wahlberg's home was the most expensive sale in June, flipped for $63 million, giving the sellers a profit even after accounting for LA's mansion tax. The buyers this time around: Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, whose Malibu home was destroyed in the wildfires. Los Angeles real estate dominated the charts of the top 10 most expensive homes sold in June, according to Redfin. Five of the 10 top sellers were in California, with three in Beverly Hills, one in Bel Air and one in Atherton. Nicole Plaxen, an agent with The Beverly Hills Estates, said buyers displaced by the fires remain the big drivers of luxury real estate sales in LA. But she said rising demand from foreign buyers, especially from China, is also fueling deals in Beverly Hills and Bel Air. "I see this strength continuing based on the activity I'm seeing right now," she said. "We've been showing every single day nonstop." She said her $118 million listing on Bel Air Road and $68 million one on Flicker Way have both seen strong interest. Plaxen was a listing agent on the sale of a $32 million LA spec home to Richard Saghian, the CEO of Fashion Nova. Saghian will use the property as a temporary home while he finishes improvements on his Bel Air megamansion known as The One. Saghian bought The One, which spans over 100,000 square feet, at auction for $126 million in 2022 — $141 million with fees and commissions. Plaxen said another LA property recently sold off market for around $60 million and other high-end listings are rapidly coming onto the market. "People are not just looking, they're putting pen to paper," she said. Florida, which typically dominates the top 10 lists, had three top 10 sales in June, including the $38.8 million sale of a Palm Beach spec house.

Wahlburgers closes 79 locations nationwide in 2025 shake-up
Wahlburgers has closed nearly 80 locations this year, dipping to 34 restaurants nationwide. The burger chain founded by actor Mark Wahlberg and his brothers, Donnie and Paul, simultaneously closed 79 locations earlier this year that were in Hy-Vee grocery stores, Eat This, Not That reported earlier this month, ending an agreement that started in 2017. Wahlburgers CEO Randy Sharpe told Nation's Restaurant News that the closures affected food court kiosks at the Iowa-based chain. "It's not a full-service restaurant, and it wasn't a significant revenue driver for either side,' Sharpe told the publication. Here's what to know. Where are Hy-Vee stores located? Hy-Vee operates 302 stores in Iowa and seven states near it, according to the web scraping tool ScrapeHero. Iowa has the most in the U.S. with 151 locations. Other locations include the rest of the Midwest and the Southern region of the country, too. Mark Wahlberg owns Chevrolet, Buick and GMC auto dealerships Wahlburgers isn't Mark Wahlberg's only business interest. The former rapper known in the 1990s for Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch also owns several auto dealerships in the Buckeye State. Mark Wahlberg has Chevrolet dealerships in various parts of Ohio, including Columbus, Worthington and Avon, as well as a Buick GMC dealership in Columbus. The dealership websites prominently feature a photo of the Hollywood actor. But wait, there's more Wahlberg launched a Mexican-inspired restaurant, Flecha Cantina, in bustling Las Vegas late last year. He's also a co-owner and brand ambassador for Flecha Azul Tequila, which he partnered with in 2022. Wahlberg made his mark in the fashion industry as well, becoming a co-founder and owner of Municipal clothing. The lifestyle brand blends athleisure apparel with streetwear flair and launched in 2020.

Mark Wahlberg reveals rare baseball card grails featuring Babe Ruth and Ted Williams but hints at one mystery card he still can't get (Image via Getty) Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg is known for blockbuster films, but now he's getting attention for something totally different, baseball cards. In a recent moment that surprised fans, Wahlberg shared a few of the rare cards he's been chasing for years. One card is still out of reach, and the name behind it has left fans curious and talking. Mark Wahlberg names Babe Ruth and Ted Williams as his top baseball card grails During a feature shared by Complex Sports in July 2025, Mark Wahlberg spoke about his passion for collecting classic baseball cards. He revealed two of his favorite grail cards, a 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #53 NM-MT 8 and a 1948 Leaf Ted Williams #76 Mint 9. Rare, well-graded cards command significant money in the collector market of today. Wahlberg said that in addition to their worth, these cards bring back memories from his childhood as he grew up seeing baseball. He also admitted that finding such cards in great condition is tough, which makes them even more special to him. With both Ted Williams and Babe Ruth being baseball legends, it's no surprise these cards sit at the top of Wahlberg's dream collection. Mark Wahlberg still dreams of owning one legendary Honus Wagner card Though Wahlberg already has some amazing stuff, the T206 Honus Wagner Sweet Caporal 150/25 card still haunts his collector's heart. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 새로 나온 "실비보험" 최적가 가입추천! New Kids on the Block perform on 'GMA' 3 decades after 1st performance
Iconic boy band New Kids on the Block returned to " Good Morning America" Thursday for a final summer concert in Times Square, more than 30 years after they first performed on "GMA." "It's an honor every single time," Donnie Wahlberg said of performing on "GMA," which will debut its new studio in downtown New York City on June 16. "We love it." Wahlberg was joined by bandmates Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre and Danny Wood as they performed hits including "Step by Step" and "You Got It (The Right Stuff)." The band flew to New York City from Las Vegas, where they will kick off their first-ever Las Vegas residency on June 20 at Dolby Live at Park MGM. McIntyre described the residency -- which will run through Nov. 15, 2025 -- as the "show of a lifetime." "It's all the bells and whistles of Las Vegas. We're pulling out all the stops," he said. "It's really the show of a lifetime. We're getting to do all the dreams we had since we were teenagers. It's going to be great." In addition to their residency, New Kids on the Block is also celebrating the 35th anniversary of their hit album "Step By Step." The band will release a special anniversary edition of the album on Friday, June 13. "We're so blessed. We have so much fun together," McIntyre said of the band's decadeslong career. "We're family, and we've been through so much." While surrounded by fans at "GMA," Wahlberg attributed the success of New Kids on the Block to the generation-spanning fans who have attended their concerts and purchased their music for multiple decades. "Kind of everything we do is all about them," he said of New Kids on the Block fans. "Of course we love making music. We're artists. We care about what we do. But honestly, where are we without them?" Wahlberg continued, "If you look back at some of those old appearances on 'GMA,' it's like, 'These guys are never going to make it.' And somehow, all these fans, they're just the greatest inspiration. How could you not be inspired by them? They've given us everything we have." Watch New Kids on the Block perform on 'GMA'
