A sex offender charged Monday with recording a woman inside a Target changing room in Wareham, Massachusetts has a history of similar incidents, police say. Gregory Mattos, a 37-year-old from Mashpee, is set to be arraigned Tuesday on the charge of photographing an unsuspecting nude person. Police officers responded to the Wareham Crossing store on the Cranberry Highway for a report of a man recording a woman in the fitting room. "The female told officers that the male held a cell phone over the fitting room stall door while she was changing," Wareham police said in a statement. The suspect was seen on surveillance video leaving the Target parking lot on a moped. Police said they found Mattos, who matched the description of the suspect in the video, and arrested him on Main Street without incident. Gregory Mattos charged in past incident Wareham police said Mattos "is a registered sex offender in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has been involved in similar incidents in the past." In 2016, WBZ-TV reported that Mattos was charged with unlawful sexual surveillance after an "upskirting" incident at the same shopping plaza. In that case, police received a report about a suspicious man taking pictures of a female customer with his phone. He ran out of the store when the startled woman noticed what he was doing and was later arrested on a warrant, police said. Police said Mattos had previously been charged with failing to register as a sex offender in an unrelated case.

A new bus has launched for the summer, linking rail services to rural tourist attractions and campsites in shuttle runs from Wareham Station to the Blue Pool and RSPB Arne on Wednesdays and makes an additional stop at Purbeck Park - near Corfe Castle and Swanage Railway's Norden Station - on by Dorset Community Transport (DCT), it is the result of a partnership with the Blue Pool, RSPB Arne and Purbeck Community Rail Partnership (CRP).The Purbeck Shuttle will run until the end of August. The shuttle, which is also supported by Dorset Council, follows a successful pilot project by the RSPB to operate a bus between Wareham Station and RSPB general manager Tim Christian said the new shuttle would "provide access to places otherwise impossible to reach on public transport".He said: "When we work together, everyone benefits - local venues, tourists, residents - and the environment."For some residents, this is the only way they can access these locations." A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV on Route 28 in Wareham Thursday afternoon, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office. South Attleboro resident Matthew Burns, 49, was riding his motorcycle north in the area of 2309 Cranberry Hwy. when he lost control of his vehicle, according to witnesses, the district attorney's office said in a press release. He then veered into the southbound lane and was struck by a Mercedes SUV. Wareham and Massachusetts State Police responded to the scene and found Burns unresponsive, the district attorney's office said. Emergency responders tried to revive him, but he was soon declared dead. Burns was riding with four other motorcyclist when he crashed, the district attorney's office said. One of them had minor injuries resulting from the crash. State police interviewed the SUV driver at a local hospital where she was being treated following the crash, the district attorney's office said. She said she was driving south on the highway and noticed several motorcyclists riding in the opposite direction. During a bend in the road, one of the motorcyclists lost control of his vehicle, she told State Police, according to the district attorney's office. She said she could not avoid the crash. State Police are still investigating the crash.
