The Nintendo Switch 2 Is Finally Available On Amazon, But There's A Catch
A month after launch and over two months after it first became available for preorder, the Nintendo Switch 2 is finally being sold on Amazon in the United States. It appears that Amazon and Nintendo have squashed any reported squabbles, though you can't quite just go to an Amazon store page and instantly buy a Switch 2 yet on the massive retail site. Instead, you can request an invite. In the weeks leading up to Switch 2 pre-orders going live, it became clear that Amazon wasn't going to be part of the chaos. Instead, when Switch 2 pre-orders went live on April 24 in the United States, you could only grab one from places like Target, Best Buy, and Walmart. No Amazon. Strangely, overseas, you could still pre-order and buy a Switch 2 and most other Nintendo games and hardware on Amazon with no problem. But over here, that wasn't the case. However, that's been changing over the last few weeks as some Nintendo Switch 2 accessories and games have popped up on the retailer. Now, finally, there is an official Nintendo Switch 2 store listing on Amazon. On July 8, as spotted by Wario64 and others on Twitter, an Amazon listing for the Switch 2 quietly went live on the retail giant. There's also a page for the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle. Both are priced as you would expect, $450 for the Switch 2 and $500 for the bundle, so no Prime Day deal, sorry. And you can't actually buy either version yet. Instead, you have to request an invite and hope you get picked. For folks looking to grab a Switch 2, this might be a solid option. And the fact that the Switch 2 is available at all on Amazon is a big deal. The two companies had seemingly been in a feud for about a year now, with many first-party Nintendo games and accessories being unavailable on Amazon. No reason was ever given, but Bloomberg reported last month that third-party sellers undercutting Nintendo's prices might have been a factor in the dispute. There was also speculation that Amazon was breaking street date. Neither company will admit what happened, and we'll likely not get an official answer as to why the Switch 2 is suddenly available on Amazon a month after launch. Regardless, if you prefer using Amazon for your online shopping, you'll soon be able to (maybe) get a Switch 2. Good luck! . For the latest news, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

A humble price increase.
Posted Jun 25, 2025 at 9:06 PM UTC Humble's best known for curating video game bundles that give proceeds to charities. The Ziff Davis-owned company also sells a subscription called Choice, and I'm sorry if this is the first that you're hearing of it because I'm here to tell you that it's getting more expensive on July 1st, according to a screenshot of an email shared by Wario64 on Bluesky. It's increasing from $11.99 per month to $14.99. Choice offers a new batch of PC games to subscribers every month that you can keep even if you cancel the subscription. It also grants discounts at its Humble Store, including some decent deals on digital Switch 2 games.

The Steam Deck OLED is back in stock
If you've been itching to get a handheld, but the Switch 2 isn't quite up your alley, now you can get your hands on a Steam Deck OLED. As spotted by @Wario64, Valve has started selling the device on its online store again after it was out of stock in the US and Canada for over a week. Earlier this month, Valve cited 'recent supply chain constraints' for the Steam Deck OLED's unavailability, adding that it expects the device to come back in stock by the end of the summer. It looks like Valve may have resolved its supply chain issues — at least for now — as the 512GB Steam Deck OLED is currently on sale for $549, while the 1TB version is available for $649. Both devices come with a 7.4-inch HDR OLED display, up to a 90Hz refresh rate, a carrying case, and battery life ranging from three to 12 hours, depending on content. The 1TB version adds a 'premium anti-glare etched glass' display, a removable liner with the carrying case, and an exclusive startup screen and virtual keyboard theme. However, neither model includes the Steam Deck Docking Station, which is available separately for $79 (there are plenty of third-party options out there, too.) But if you're still holding out for a Switch 2, the $450 console has been popping up intermittently at retailers like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy.

Borderlands 4 Collector's Edition doesn't include the game
ALBAWABA - Borderlands 4 is once again the talk of social media after sparking backlash from fans for its newly announced expensive collector's edition. The Echo-4 bundle offers buyers in-game cosmetics, art prints, a vault symbol necklace, a map of Karos, an Echo-4 figurine with LED lights, and some in-game codes. However, fans were quick to notice that the $149.99 bundle doesn't include the game in question, which will force them to purchase Borderlands 4 for an extra $69.99. Disappointed fans flooded Wario64's comment section on X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their frustration. A user wrote, "This is actually really good news. Now we know for sure how this company feels about its fans." Weow $150 for a collector's edition with no game! — // Lumi 🌓 (@lumiscera) June 16, 2025 Borderlands 4 has been under constant controversy ahead of its 2025 release date due to Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford's recent response to fans who criticized the game's previous $79.99 price tag. Pitchford turned heads when he was accused of "gaslighting" Borderlands fans when he responded to an X post regarding the game's previous price tag. Responded to an unhappy fan who showcased frustration about the game's price tag on X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote: "A) Not my call. B) If you're a real fan, you'll find a way to make it happen. My local game store had Starflight for Sega Genesis for $80 in 1991 when I was just out of high school working minimum wage at an ice cream parlor in Pismo Beach and I found a way to make it happen." On the contrary, another X user slammed Ptichford and wrote in response, "Dawg we are NOT paying $80 for a Borderlands game fully knowing you'll do multiple season passes that cost another $100 and you'll probably sell weapon skins too."

Sony unlocks regional restrictions for some PC games in more than 100 countries
It turns out that region-locking your games makes it harder to sell more copies. First discovered by Wario64, Sony has lifted regional restrictions for several of its titles that are available to play on PC through Steam. Sony hasn't officially announced the removal of these region locks, nor the reason why, but God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us Part II Remastered , Spider-Man 2 , and the hit co-op shooter Helldivers 2 can be purchased once again in 177 countries that were previously prohibited, as seen in database changelogs. To understand why Sony decided to limit sales of its games in certain countries, we have to revisit when the video game publisher announced it would require Helldivers 2 PC players to link their Steam accounts to the PlayStation Network. This controversial decision prohibited players in countries that didn't have access to the PSN, so Sony also removed Helldivers 2 from being on sale in those locations. The publisher quickly backtracked on that move, even later removing the PSN requirements for other titles like Spider-Man 2. More recently, the PC release of Stellar Blade on June 11 resurfaced Sony's PSN login requirement debacle. The game's developer, Shift Up, was able to work with Sony to loosen restrictions and make a PSN login optional, allowing for an explosive launch where the game saw a peak of nearly 200,000 players in its opening week. Now, PC gamers across the world can play Stellar Blade and Helldivers 2 without needing a PSN account. However, there are still some Sony titles on Steam that are heavily restricted, like Ghost of Tsushima and Until Dawn .
