Hulu Announces Cancellation of Four Shows
The streaming service Hulu boasts an impressive collection of original series. Unfortunately for many fans, some of those shows will be coming to an end this year as they have either not been renewed or have been outright canceled by the streaming service.
So far this year, Hulu has announced the cancellation of four different shows.
According to DirecTV, "Solar Opposites" has not been renewed for another season and will come to a close in season 6 while "How to Die Alone," "Wayne Brady: The Family Remix" and "Extraordinary" have all been canceled.
"Solar Opposites" is an animated television show that centers around a family of aliens who crash land on Earth and are forced to stay there after they were sent from their home planet, Planet Shlorp, to colonize new planets shortly before it was destroyed by an asteroid. The upcoming sixth season of the show will be its last as it has not been renewed beyond that.
"How to Die Alone" is a comedy series that follows a woman who decides to change her life after a near-death experience, taking her on a journey of self-empowerment and personal transformation as she looks to find love. It was canceled by Hulu after just one season.
"Wayne Brady: The Family Remix" is a reality show that follows the life of actor and comedian Wayne Brady. The show is described as "a divorced couple who successfully co-parent in a blended multiracial family." After its lone season, the show was canceled by Hulu.
"Extraordinary" follows a girl named Jen who lives in a world where everyone develops a superpower at the age of 18. However, six years after turning 18, she still had not discovered her superpower. While the show was well received for its first season, generating a 100 percent rotten tomatoes score, it was canceled by Hulu following its second season.
While fans will undoubtedly be disappointed by some of these decisions, Hulu still has plenty of streaming options for fans to find something new to watch.
