J-Lo takes savage swipe at ex Ben Affleck as she debuts brutal new song
Jennifer Lopez debuts emotional breakup ballad Wreckage of You after Ben Affleck split as she sings the song on stage for the first time Jennifer Lopez laid her heart bare on stage this week as she performed a brand new breakup ballad seemingly inspired by her split from Ben Affleck. The Wedding Planner star, 55, officially debuted her emotional track Wreckage of You on the opening night of her Up All Night Tour in Pontevedra, Spain, on July 8 - just six months after finalising her divorce from the Batman actor following two years of marriage. 'This is a song that is a new song that I want to sing for the first time tonight that came to me when I was up all night one night,' she told the crowd, 'Shall we sing this one for the people?' Performing the stripped-back piano ballad, J-Lo didn't hold back as she sang about heartbreak, healing and finding strength after love 'Thank you for the scars you left on my heart, was showing me that stars shine brighter in the dark,' she sung. 'I won't fall apart because of who we are, but your broken parts.' On the soaring chorus, she declared 'Because of you, I am stronger, wiser. Better than I've ever been. I won't let you no longer, longer, ever say goodbye to me… it made me stronger, stronger, bulletproof. Now watch me climb out of the wreckage of you.' She later added 'I had to break to know how it feels, for however long it takes for my soul to heal, I will make you deal,' before thanking her unnamed ex for 'the pain that you caused.' The poignant lyrics echo what Jennifer revealed earlier this year about how she reassured her 17-year-old twins, Max and Emme whom she shares with Marc Anthony, during the painful breakup. The singer recalled telling her children: ''I promise you, this is a difficult time, but you're going to see that I'll come out the other side stronger and better.' I promised them that and I did it,' she told El Pais in May. 'And they feel it now. That gives me a great sense of peace in my life.' She added: 'I'm proud of myself for that and I'm proud that I was able to navigate my children through difficult times, that they're stronger and better because of it.' It's not the first time Jennifer has used her music to pour out her feelings for Ben. Her 2024 album This Is Me… Now was widely seen as a sequel to 2002's This Is Me…. Then which famously chronicled the couple's first romance. Jennifer and Ben first began dating in 2002 and got engaged before calling off their wedding in 2003 and splitting the following year. They rekindled their relationship in 2021 and tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony in 2022. But the fairy tale ended again last year, with their divorce finalised in January. And now, J-Lo seems ready to move on as she said in her song 'Now watch me climb out of the wreckage of you.'

The Jenny From the Block singer's lounge chair sat in the grass a bit of a way away from the pool. The ex-wife of Ben Affleck, 52, looked happy as she paid attention to her phone. The Spain sighting comes after Jennifer shared a cheeky video and photos to her Instagram from her 4th of July celebration. 'Happy 4th of July,' she began while barely holding back her laughter. 'Want a cupcake?' she said while holding two in front of her breasts and shaking her torso from side to side. The superstar went on to joke: 'This is what happens when you hang out with the gays.' The video then cut to a clip of Jennifer Coolidge in season two of White Lotus saying 'the gays.' She proceeded to share the cupcake selfies in an Instagram post and captioned it, 'Happy Fourth of July everybody. ✨ Here are the cupcake selfies LOL.' Her fans overwhelmingly shared love and Happy 4th of July wishes to their idol. Many said that the last photo in the Wedding Planner star's carousel – the one with two cupcakes over her breasts – was their favorite. One fan offered JLo singer some sage advice. 'I'll take a cupcake??! Happy Fourth Jennifer!! ❤️P.S. Hang out with the fabulous gays more often please, and thank you.' Another fan thanked Lopez for all she does to bring happiness to her life. The Marry Me star's post comes after she took a swipe at her ex-husband Ben Affleck, 52, in a new song. The Gigli star debuted six new songs at an exclusive listening party for 30 lucky fans in Los Angeles last week - and dropped a hint about her recent personal turmoil. The collapse of their marriage was the culmination of months of rumors that the couple's relationship was heading towards implosion. Lopez appears to have taken a swipe at Ben in her music, in the lyrics to a song called Wreckage of You that she played at the listening party. One of the guests, Edgardo Luis Rivera, shared that JLo 'kept thinking of the word "wreck" because it means destruction, but she wasn't destroyed. 'In fact, the lyrics of the song are: "I'm stronger after the wreckage of you,"' via Us Weekly. 'She mentioned how last year was a very difficult time for her both personally and professionally. She had to cancel her tour and really focus on herself,' he noted.
